This ride surprised me - it was far better than I anticipated. I particularly loved the two launches. In my opinion, this is the best ride in the park and is a must ride!!!!

LAUNCH! LAUNCH! Love the double launch points. Then your shot up through a volcano-Great job by everyone involved in the creation of this ride. I had seen this coaster on TV and videos several times over the years which created much anticipation. It delivered and then some.

The best coaster at PKD. If it werent for the agonizingly bad capacity, you wouldnt have been able to drag me off of this ride. The initial launch is very powerful and surprising, coming out of the volcano is one of the coolest inversions ever, and all of the inline twists give a very scary hang time affect. The theming is very cool and the heat from the fire spewing from the volcano can be felt from anywhere in the Congo section of the park and is a very dramatic affect. No trip to PKD would be complete without at least one trip on Volcano, even if it means waiting 2 or 3 hours.

One of thew coolest launch coasters in the world, especially when you come out of the volcano, your like wahooooooo.... The lauinch starts, and your totally shocked when it happens, you dont snap out of a trance until you fly out of the volcano tops steep inversion into sunlight. The barrel rolls were nice and smooth, and the heartliners were to die for. But all good things must come to an end.... so you just hop right back in line! (though do take into consideration, the lines for this ride are very long at some points of the day...

What an expirience you get from Volcano. Not only is the launch something else, but i also like the gingerly slow barrel rolls too. Its also really smooth like most inverted roller coasters.

Volcano is a nice surprise the first time you ride it, then the novelty wears off, terribly. It is not worthy of a constant 1-2 hour wait. Not by a long shot. Plus, the ladys voice who reminds you to "secure all loose articles" can get a bit tiring after youve heard it for the eleventith billion time! Nice launch and thats it.

Awesome!!! Ride in the front seat if you can. My favorite Kings Dominion Ride. The launch is great and it feels warm coming out of the fiery volcano on a cold day.

A great ride indded. The launch is the most powerful of any LIM Ive been on, so I was impressed. Then the second launch gives even more speed. The trip up through the mountain is cool. I thought the ride was supposed to go very slowly through the remainder, but I was wrong. It kept a brisk pace through the twists and turns. And really, the last drop is pretty fun, even if more couldve been done. The only complaint I have is that it hit your head a few times. But that is excusable after such an awesome ride.

This ride was spectacular. The launch is great, and the banked turnaround is aweomse, along with the vertical spike into the rollover. Then the Intline Twists are soo much fun, the the swooping drop ending, i love it/ Plus it has excellent theming, and the Ops are great at running the ride.

Awesome ride. The launch was great, the vertical ascent out of the volcano was very cool as well. I also enjoyed the in-line twists round the outside of th volcano. The minuses are for a short ride, lack of elements, and very fake looking volcano (But the fire is awesome). Luckily I went to PKD on a slow day and the longest wait for this ride was 15 minutes!
