Fun log flume ride, mini-drops before the final 50 footer---and great theming inside
This is my favorite log flume ride. The theming is great, the music is good, and you dont get wet and walk around in wet clothes all day. Its a must ride when at Disney World.
I keep wondering why this ride always get such high a rate. Its neat and delicate, but not really fun. Just some AA and a few not-so-scary drops. Kind of dated, try it at night. Itll slightly better.
One of the best log flume rides ever, nice that it is more than a flume ride with a track.
I had a gap of visits to Disney World. One was in 1990 (I was 5 and lived down south so I could just go for a weekend) and the next was in 1997 (I was 12, and had since moved to DC so it was quite the trip). Anyway, throughout pretty much all of my elementary school years, my friends would talk about what they did on their summer (in some cases spring) break. Not suprisingly, many went to Disney World. Well, the one attraction they would all talk about was Splash Mountain, one that did not exist when I was last there. So, when I finally got to go to Disney World (1.5 months after leaving elementary school) this was an absolute must ride. It also seemed to be the biggest thing that had opened since my last visit. Well, after waiting in a 70 minute line (no Fast Pass back then) I stepped on to the boat. While I was waiting in line, I figured this would be a very well themed ride. I was right. The singing characters were fantastic, and the scenery was second to none. I was also under the impression that the big drop in the front of the mountain was the only drop, but, I was pleasantly suprised by those in the mountain as well. Another thing I really liked is that you dont get drenched on it, I typicaly avoid water rides for this very reason. I dont want to walk around all day drenched. The only thing I couldnt figure out-- Why would they theme one of the largest attractions around a movie that has never been released in this country?
An AMAZING log flume that is my favorite ride in the Magic Kingdom. The 3 drops are the best Ive ever seen in a log flume.one of the drops even has a little bit of airtime in it.The mountain and country theme is a spectacular and the music is fun and enjoyable.Splash mountatin is a Disney masterpiece and will thrill guest generations to come.
I Love The Song How DO You Do on Splash Mountain.
A great flume ride, with excellent theming that only Disney could provide. Plus, if you know the "Song of the South" than youll love this fume even more. Probly my #11 fav ride. Do not miss this attraction!!!
One of my most memorable moments will be going to Magic Kingdom, which supplies an insurmountable amount of joy all in itself, but probably the funnest thing I did was ride Splash Mountain. It was my favorite then, and on my most recent trip, held true to that title. Its definantly the best flume ride Ive ever rode, and the theming is excellent, a class could be taught to other parks about theming using just this ride. Its got legnth, and alot of awesome animations, making it a good ride for families, and then its got a drop that excites all of us thrill seekers. Although, it may not be the most thrilling ride in the world, it definantly brings out the 8-year-old thrill seeker in us all, and for its nostalgic presence, and memory imbedded into almost every rider, it gets a 10 from me.
Spalsh Mountain is the best ride in the park.and Its the best log flume around in my book. The big drop is supposed to be the steepest in the world according to Disney but I like the one at Dudley do rights Ripsaw falls better.Anyway Spalsh Montain is the best family ride there is.The themeing in music is awesome.Dont miss Splash montain when your at Magic Kingdom. No Disney Trip is complete without riding it.
