Its a very nice and relaxing ride but its hidden away in a hard to find place. I enjoyed the caves and the view of Thunder Mountain.
i liked this little boat ride/tour however the wait was AGES and our "tour guide" spoke really close 2 the microphone and it was hard 2 understand. but the ride itself was cute and u got a nice view of thunder mountain railroad!
What a shame it was for me and my family to find this ride closed during our yearly visit this week. One stupid accident and Disney closes the whole ride. Just like the old sky way when the cast member fell off in 1997 its been closed ever since. I will miss this ride.
Since this attraction is now Tom Sawyer Island, that is what I will review, I guess. The caves are nice, even a little scary and its quiet and nice. Good for relaxing and roaming around freely.
Why did Disney close this ride? This ride was very laid back and was mostly for older people. I have heard stories of people falling off the boat so it may have been a safety issue. In order to have unnderstood the ride you would have to see the movie Mike Fink
If the island is part of this review than the score should be higher. If not this is right on the money. Took to long to load in blazing heat. Tomsawyer island is fun though.
This ride has been almost closed for a year now. I was one of the guests on board during Captains Gabriels 2000 wreck. I must be honest it was a very scary and emotional 15 minutes however I must say Captain Gabriel was a true captain and stayed supportive and made sure everyone on his boat know they was safe. I will miss this ride but have to wonder how much Captain Gabriel had to pay Disney for his crash... LOL..
Hello. This is Captain Gabriel Gabbard. I was one of The First Captains at The MF KeelBoats in 2000. I really enjoyed my time as Captain Gabriel Gabbard. However I caused A Wreck on The Boat and decided to leave Disney. Thank God no one was hurt. For Details Write me at Gabriel 24M@aol.com
So so. I guess I could take it or leave it. But not everything at WDW can be super spectacular. Its nice in that there isnt an overly long line to get on it. I did like the island you get to walk around on---assuming the attraction is like it was years ago.
A bit lame, but OK. Speaks to a quieter time at amusement parks.
