The is a really great wooden coaster. I highly suggest you keep your hands up while on the coaster. Its not too jerky, not too smooth, just the way I like it. And the bunny hops are the best part of the ride in my opinion.
I thoroughly enjoy this coaster every time I ride it. Airtime is one of my favorite aspects on roller coasters, and this one provides lots of it, especially going over the bunny hops at the end. The sensation of falling while going down the big hills provides a huge rush! The brakes tend to stop the car very quickly, so be prepared for a very fast stop upon entering the brake run.
Well, this was dissapointing. The ride has a great layout and location, but it just has no airtime, and on an out n back you need that.
Not a bad coaster by any means. It was my first ride on any roller coaster other than a Flitzer at a carnival. It has a decent amount of thrills, but I absolutely hated the breaks, because they hurt!
Waited an hour but it was worth it! First drop knocked the wind out of me, second did too. Must ride for wooden fans like me.
A great woodie not as rough as the cyclone, also not quite as fun. Still an excellent woodie with a fantastic layout. Fresh paint and some trees would make it great.
looks impressive, but it was very tame. no speed, no great drop, no air, no thrills
Whoo-ahh! This ride rocks! This is the true definition of a classic, out-and-back, Great American Woodie!
I thought this ride was awesome. I couldnt wait to ride it after I got a view of the layout which was beautiful. The chain took a while but the first drop was wonderful. Nice air over each of the bunny hops. The ride wasnt too rough except for the occasional bang on the back of the head, but other than that, this ride was truly great. The best part on this ride is if youre sitting in the front, after the last hill it dips down into the breaks that are covered w/ a roof, it gives an amazing head chopper effect. But, brace yourself for the breaks, the do hurt if you arnt pushing back.
I rode this coaster when I was 2 years old in 1974 and to this day is the first memory I have in my life. (2yrs old? Believe it or not there use to not be a height requirement the first two summers GASM was open). The rest has been history. I love this coaster with all of my life! It continues to thrill the best of us and will for the duration of my life.
