They take up such small areas i cant believe they would remove it. Always a shame to see a ride removed. Sorry loyal viper fans, you can always go to kentucky kingdom where they put one right next to the beautiful and scenic.... interstate.
From what I heard this ride is no longer at SFOG. It was actually my first experience on a launched coaster. I didnt really know what to expect, and I loved it! Now they have lots of launched coasters close to where I live (rockin roller coaster, hulk, and soon to open Revenge of the mummy), so launched coasters arent a big deal to me anymore. Im giving it ten because it was an amazing ride, although it wasnt much of a ride to todays standards.
I loved this ride. R.I.P.
The Viper aka Tidal Wave was a great ride. My firned and I hold the record for the most times having ridden the thing- consecutively w/o getting off, for a total of 42 times. Well, that was when it was called The Tidal Wave at SFGAm back in the day. When it made its way doen to Georgia, and got repainted and renamed the Viper, we broke our old record of 42 times, and more than doubled the count to 88 times. That was until the ride broker down and we were forced to get off of it. Orbit Kings Forever!!!
I will truly miss the Viper, it was always a blast. You never had to wait in line, it was a quick thrill. I am excited about riding S:UF when I go to the park on Tuesday, but I wish it was where the Ninja is now, not where the Viper was. Viper, you will be missed
Good Night Sweet Viper R.I.P
My favorite coaster in the park from last season. I loved the launch, the smoothness, the launch, the loop, the trains, the no lines, and everything else. I loved this ride. I dont know why they tore it down, I think it was a big mistake.
I loved this ride, I wished that they didnt take it out, it was one of my favorites.
i love this lancher it wil be missed
One of the greats at SFOG. AlwaYS SOMEWHERE TO GO FOR A SHORT LINE and a quick thrill. Also something you could do 3 times in a row at differents parts of the car and never have the same experience. Also some of the best theming ever. I hope for the legacy of this coaster that it ends up somewhere where it can keep its theming, speed, and excitement, and still remain THE VIPER!!!!!!!!
