"Shoulder restraints are required in CA if a coaster goes upside down. Its law."
Ummm, Montezoomas Revenge doesnt have any....
The ride itself isnt too bad, but the head banging just hurts its score. Nice terrain as well.
Beautiful setting and landscape. A classic ride. Penalized a point for the OTSR - which are TOTALLY unnecessary (see Hershey Park). The ride was alot longer and more complex in layout than I expected.
I so want to rate this ride less, but I cant discount its once great heritage. Forever immortalized in the film Vacation, Revolution holds a sentimental place in my heart. Unfortunately, its history holds its best ride, as the addition of shoulder harnesses has literally RUINED a classic. I spent 100% of my energy dodging the harness as it lunged for my neck, face and head on those great, sweeping drops through the trees. One can only hope a revised lapbar (like those now found on Premier launched coasters) will one day win approval and restore this masterpiece to its true form.
This ride wasnt all that great. I thought it was very rough. Although it was nice to ride through the park, it was just a little too jerky for me. And I made the bad move of riding Flashback right before this.
Good ride running through the park. And its also history. The first 360 degree loop. And too me thats the most important thing to ever hit the coaster world. Its also a fun ride in general.
Im not going to repeat it again. Shoulder restraints are required in CA if a coaster goes upside down. Its law.
This is a very solid ride. And by solid, I mean a very good ride to go on. The lines are not that long, and the ride is good. And this is the first vertical loop ever built! Also it covers a good piece of the park to see and go through. I would recommend going on this ride.
Under-rated yes? Needs improvement YES! Take off the shoulder harnesses and turn down the trim breaks.
Still a great old coaster that really takes advantage of the terrain. Just press your head back in the restraints and enjoy a really nice ride.
A pretty good ride that whips through the trees and has an awesome vertical loop, but it is not very comfortable and I always bumped my head on the over the shoulder restraints.
Now that its down to two train operation, its basically crap. The OTSRs kill the ride greatly, though I love standing up on it. Definately a classic...
I give this a 7 just because they ruined the ride by putting alot of trim breaks on and those OTSRS. otherwise a great ride!
