In my opinion the build up to this ride was too much. After all it is only Big Thunder Mountain on steroids. Although this ride is one of the best out of all of the parks and a unmissable experience I felt the build up spoiled it. Nevertheless The yeti is amazing and it is not too intense. The worst part for Roller Coaster haters is the backwards section. But still is not that bad!

Amazing ride. Perfectly themed and detailed. You start out towards the broken track then it sends you sailing backwards. The little yeti cut scene is cool then you see the beast. The yeti is HUGE and seems like it could touch you. Awesome all around.

Expedition Everest is easily the best coaster at WDW, and it is far more exciting than I would imagine a Disney coaster being. The themeing is top-notch, and the ride has some great laterals. The 80 ft. plunge out of the mountain is fantastic and the speed doesnt let up. My complaint about the coaster however is the beginning. The ride really isnt very exciting until the backwards portion and just kind of meanders along a bit. If the beginning was more thrilling this could be one of my favorite coasters.

I love this ride! the details, the queve, and specially the begining if the broken track.
When u are in the tall lift if u look to the left u can see at the horizont the tower of terror and other disney building.
This ride is very well done and it give it life to this park. Could have it a 10 if the ride be a little longer in the interior of the mountain. A huge mountain and little time inn it.

Great ride!!! Finally animal kingdom has a ride to motivate me to come back. I love the yeti theme and the yeti animatronic is huge.

Well themed! I loved the ride especially the backwards part inside the mountain. One of the better Disney mountians. Also the Yeti itself was pretty awesome.

This ride is absolutely amazing! It is themed very well - Disney didntt miss a single detail. Even the queve line was themed well. The ride has a very steep lift hill - youll notice this on the ride, and then it kind of goes fast, but when it switches to the backwards track - thats when it goes extremely fast. I was sitting in the back when I rode to get the most out of the drop (which is great btw), and when I looked back before we started going backwards, I was able to see the track flip over for the reverse section. It was very cool. The yeti at the end looks ridiculously real as well. It scared the crap out of me when I first saw it.
If youre going to a Disney park, go to Animal Kingdom and ride Everest.

One of the best rides in Disney World. The detail of the scenery is incredible. The line moved very fast. The ride starts out slow but then has a huge lift. Then you switch tracks and go backwards in the dark very fast. I was screaming!!! After the backwards insanity, the 80 ft drop is just fantastic. The more and more turns out of no where. This is definately one of my favorite rides but be careful for the little ones. It may be too intense.

This one is tough to review. I do think it falls short of the hype, but its still an exceptional attraction. The mountain itself is one of the most beautiful structures that Disney has ever built. From a distance it looks like a real mountain! I think it is far more iconic than the ostensible symbol of Animal Kingdom, the Tree of Life. The tree is fine, but this mountain is spectacular. The ride itself is fun, but not the very best. I dont like how the Yeti, the most elaborate animatronic character ever built, is presented. You fly by him too quickly, and in poor lighting. With all the work that went into the Yeti, you should be able to see him better!

The ride was enjoyable, but nowhere near the experience of the Aerosmith Coaster. I would have much preferred a longer, bigger Thunder Mountain type ride with a huge Yeti somewhere along the way. Its too short and not thrilling enough.
