As if we didnt have enough Fear Factor on the tube, we can now watch a faux version at the theme park. The theme park version might be interesting for those who become contestants but otherwise waiting in line for Revenge of the Mummy is far more entertaining.

A very entertaining show based on a very entertaining show, Fear Factor Live does a good job capturing both the physical challenges and mental gross-outs that make the TV show so popular. The first stunt was simply an endurance test, seeing how long contestants could hang on to a bar before falling. Next was a neat stunt where the contestants had race to retrieve some flags out of a tank filled with eels, hook them onto a spinning platform, and then drink a Fear Factor concoction of fish parts, pig parts, insects, and spoiled milk. The final stunt involved the contestants spinning a wheel while getting shocked with electricity the entire time. Aside from this, there was some interaction with the audience as well. The final electricity stunt ended up jolting the entire building, but the best part of the show was in between two of the stunts where they brought up a member of the audience. This person had to put their head in a box, and then either cockroaches, tarantulas, scorpions, or snakes were put into the box as well. This person was picked while waiting in line, and the actual contestants have to apply earlier in the day, so it will take some work to actually be a participant in the show. Watching it, though, was fun enough. Im torn between a 9 and a 10, but Ill give the show the benefit of the doubt, mostly because Fear Factor is just so darn cool.
