This was a pretty mediocre falling star. Clementon picks your seat for you and forces you to ride with someone else. My rides consisted of a very short cycle and a slow speed, which resulted in almost no laterals and only a little air time.
I found this Falling Star to be more intense than the one at Indiana Beach. But, this ride is more run down than IBs. It made a few unsettling crashing noises, particularly as the ride reached the highest point. Id give this ride a higher rating, but I hate the way they run it. The guest workeresque operators wont let you ride one per seat. Why? Indiana Beach certainly lets you do this. Nobody falls out of their Falling Star as a result. Having two riders per seat on a Falling Star kills the awesome lateral forces of the ride. Finally, I stormed out of the park in disgust when the operators refused to let me sit on an edge seat as I attempted to ride for a second cycle. They attempted to direct me to a middle seat, and I responded by walking out of this terrible park. Again, there is no reason to rob me of my seat selection. IB always let me pick any vacant seat. And this park should have as well.
This ride was just alright. It had a short cycle. However, when it got going it was pretty decent. Nothing extraordinary. There are certainly worse out there as well.
An OK Falling Star, not the best though in what can be an awesome ride category. Decent movement, but hard to compare to the greats out there. Oh, and I didnt get thrown into the lake, I want a refund!
I really like Falling Stars, but this one just didnt do it for me like others that I have experienced. The ride cycle was fairly short, and that is the main thing that really killed the ride quality. It was crazy when it got going, but it was just too short.
