The Crazy Cups are a flat ride. They are fast, fun, rerideable, they have a large capacity, and a long duration.

Seabreeze is arguably one of my favorite parks that I have ever visited. Not only is the atmosphere top-notch, but the park also boasts a very strong ride lineup teeming with a great mix of classic attractions and modern day marvels. Unfortunately, this is the worst ride I rode at the park. While not terrible in that sense that I definitely would not reride it again, the Crazy Cups overall were just a disappointing attraction.

To begin, the Crazy Cups seemed to fit very nicely in Seabreeze’s midway due to the ride’s incredibly small footprint. Additionally, this PTC Crazy Daisy sported an incredibly sharp white and blue paint scheme. Unfortunately though, the ride lacks any covering above it like almost every other version of this ride that I have been on. As a result, the ride just bakes in the sun all day leading the cups being quite hot when I went to sit down. A simple canvas above the attraction would definitely be a welcome improvement. Also, while the ride boasts a rather low capacity, it never appeared to have a line at all.

Once the ride began, I was treated to a disappointing experience. While the cups certainly did spin somewhat, it was not the dizzying experience that I was hoping for. At most, my cups would make one-full rotation and then stop, which is puzzling since this one didn’t seem to be any slower than the ones I’ve been on at Canobie, Story Land, or Knoebels. As a result of the lack of spinning, the near-miss collisions were not nearly as effective on this version. The cycle was fairly long though to the park’s credit.

Overall, the Crazy Cups just isn’t all that great of an attraction. While a classic, this version just seems to spin less and as a result, the ride was less dizzying and subsequently less enjoyable. Despite this, a fan of spinning rides or tea cups should consider giving this a whirl since there always is the possibility (as with any spinning ride such as tea cups or a tilt-a-whirl) that I was just unfortunate enough to receive a poor ride.
