Another Coney Island staple that I couldnt imagine not being there. Towering over all of Astroland, the Astrotower has always been there for me. I remember as a kid quaking in fear at the bottom and being dragged on the ride. At first I was nervous as heck, but once the car ascended to the top of the tower, which is pretty high I must add, I realized how beautiful the view is. From the top I have so many wonderful memories of Coney Island and I cant help but reminisce. Views of the Cyclone, Wonder Wheel, the big city, the Atlantic, Nathans, and many other wonderful memories just stand out from the top and just are my roots. Also, it just seems like Im up there for an eternity since the ops really keep it up there for a long time. Even if you dont have Big Apple roots like me, this still is an outstanding ride that shows you everything the area has to offer.
Its nice and high just like an observation town should be. You get a real nice view on it and its very relaxing.
For what it is, this ride is fun, and a nice way to relax. I love taking photos here, and enjoying the great view of the sea, and of course, the old rides that remain. Overall, its fun, and worth it.
Actually, a pretty depressing tower ride after you realize that you dont see many of the past rides there any more and that the park has become a cheap carnival with a classic wooden coaster overall. I would recommend taking a short look at the park, but spend most of your time looking towards the floor or something more exciting beyond there. I try to avoid it though, since I have seen better days just a few years ago. The park has become a disaster I would say.
i really hate hights but the hight didnt bother me on this ride so for that it gets a ten in my book
Standard tower but in an interesting New York City location, so its worth the ride.
This is a great way to both relax and get a great view of Coney Island and South Brooklyn. This is also a good ride to take pictures from.
Average observation tower.
Well, this ride is your average observation tower. It has some nice Astroworld signs. It has great veiws of the Cyclone from the top not to mention the rest of the park. The themeing is slim to none. The ride is pretty much standard and somewhat fun if you are afraid of heights. Also, very nice and comfy seats are on this ride. My ratings are Design - 6, Themeing - 1, Fun Factor - 5, Re-Ride - 3, Intensity - 1, Scare Factor - 2, Originality - 5. The final rating is...3.2 which is a 3. Thanks For Listening. TOGO_Fan
