I think this ride is pretty awlsome. This ride is really awlosme carivnal ride and theme park ride too.
What an evil contraption! Those ops really lived up to the hype and I thought it would be cool to ride this after scarfing down a Nathans hot dog to test my stomach (I have never thrown up on a ride). Well the ride got me afterwards with the intense speed and the insane length its run for.
Let me start off by saying that I have only tossed my cookies once due to an amusement park ride. Guess what? It was this one. Those twisted ride ops absolutely run this ride insane and just one summer day they caught me. Then again, I had it coming after eating that Nathans hot dog
. That basically sums it up. Coneys ride ops absolutely run this to insanity and create one of the most intense flats, let alone rides, out there. No other breakdance has the intense speed and laterals found on this one. Not only do those ops crank up the speed to the max, but they also run this forever. Its a perfect example of the riders being victims to the demonic minds of the Coney ops and what they make the riders endure. If you want a ride that will test your stomach, this is the one.
I have never ever barfed on an amusement ride before, but this one almost got me. What everyone says about the crazy operators is true. They made a demonically crazy cycle that lasted exceptionally long (one of them I think lasted 7 or 8 minutes since no one was in line!). The operates ran the ride at max speed providing an insane ride packed with loads and I mean loads of spinning.
I give this insane ride a HUGE 10. It takes you exactly where you want to go....CRAZY!!!!! and I love this ride even though I cant walk when I get off of it. This is one of coney islands best next to the cyclone.
How great to see gang-looking male teens come off this thing and immediately head for the railing so they didnt fall down! After spinning in more directions faster and longer and harder than imaginable, didnt feel pukey, but definitely like I could go BOOM! at any moment after getting off. IMO this should be the last ride of an Astroland day, although dont drive immediately thereafter either. Serious ride ops, they were going to fill every seat and then run it as l-o-n-g as possible, and man, did they! The best Breakdance ever, one of the best flats around. Wish Id had the equilibrium to ride it more than once. UPDATE: a year later, it didnt make me feel that woozy. I still saw gang-looking teenagers stumbling, but I wasnt. Dont know if Ive finally become immune to the sensation, but it is still the best of its type.
Crazy and out of control. Again, the ride ops really make the ride better. We had to wait a bit for them to fill every seat just to turn a couple of times and have the op ask if anyone wanted to get off before it got nasty. No one took him up on it. This thing turns every which way you can imagine. Probably the most dizzy Ive ever gotten on a flat.
Intense does not do this ride justice, this thing is insane. Like all rides at Coney Island, this thing is run by the ops from hell, they give a fast, long, and insane ride. It brings new meaning to spin and puke. The op makes sure every car gets some nice spinning action, and throughs you around like a rag doll. This ride comes with a reputation, and an insanity that backs that rep up.
The best run "spin and barf" ride on the planet. The ride operators are free with mixing up the ride sequence, and when the cars spin in the locked position, the g-forces are incredible. The hose on the platform gets its fair share of use, so one tip; visit Nathans well after this ride. A Huss masterpiece. Only at astroland...
not for the queasy. the best thing about this ride at Coney Island is that it is not timed, like the big amusement parks. If there is not a line and no riders object, the operators will just keep it going. can easily last 3 times as long as any similar amusement park ride
I used to have this rated as a 9, but with hundreds of flats now under my belt I can say with certainty that this one deserves a 10 in my book.
