This coaster started it all!
That old razzle-dazzle. After over 70 years Cyclone still delivers thrills. Its the kind of coaster that will throw you around. Thats the way a coaster should be
best woodie, but its expensive to ride it.
Two words, Mind blowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is a little overrrated. a classic, but a little 2 bumpy-i know thats how it is supposed 2 be but still- and i have been on many bumpy rides and loved them.
A CLASSIC! It really is terrifing because it is so old...but so fun. Make a day of it- go to the original Nathans for lunch AFTER riding this. The rest of Astroland is your basic flat rides though.
A fantastic ride, and a classic. I did feel it was slightly overrated from what I have ridden elsewhere.
Great ride. The best woodie i have ever been on. The roughness is great which adds more excitement to the ride. A must ride when at the park! One of my favorites.
Coney Island...everywhere else just aint the same. Seedy, grimy, savage, slick, deceptive. Just walking around after dark is waaaaaaayyyyyyyy scarier than anything from the minds of Six Flags or Disney. Disney corp bought up most of the red light district around 42nd st. But they wont go near this thing. ROFL The first drop is the steepest on any woodie, anywhere. the first and second turns are what back seats were invented for. the only weak points on the ride is at the end of the ride it slows down to the pacing of a normal coaster...maybe showing its age?
Highly recommended for coaster lovers everywhere, especially big ride snobs. (yeah its kind of smallish, would probably fit inside the Mean Streak).
Do get in, see the pinned, not ratcheted padded lap bar, put your hands in the air and have your soul lifted. Amen!
A very good wooden coaster. The new cars seem too comfortable but thats forgivable. This ride is good enough that it deserved a baseball team (Brooklyn Cyclones).
