The Giant Gondola Wheel is a ferris wheel. It is average speed, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration. It also gives a nice view of the park.

The walkway to the ride is awesome and beautiful. Brick walkway with alot of flowers and shrubs absolutly beautiful. It is also a good way to take pictures of the park. Just dont let the workers see your camera otherwise they will have a fit!

I usually think of ferris wheels as boring, but this one has sentimental value to me. Since this is a great place to take picures, I decided to get my camera out. I found that if you don't hide your camera in time, the ride operator WILL yell at you. I got yelled at probably a dozen times. Other than those memories, I like how this rides area has been landscaped. When the trees that Cedar Fair planted are all grown up, this place might have the best shade in all the park

I really like the visual aspect this ride has with the brick walls and trees that frame it in. The ride has a very long cycle and very good capacity, which gives lots of great chances to take pictures. Overall a very nice ferris wheel.

Cedar Fair did wonders on this Wheel when they bought the park, first they sand balsted the whole ride then gave it a colorful paint job. The view on this is amazing, you could definatly get some photos of Shivering Timbers if you wanted to.

Times ridden: 1 ~ Ride experience: 7 ~ Fun factor: 7 ~ Evaluation: The Giant Gondola Wheel is a large Chance Ferris wheel that provides some nice views of the park, and also, the immense layout of the nearby Shivering Timbers.

Not a big fan of ferris wheels but this ones not to bad. The ride is a little short for there being no lines.

APPEARANCE-7 Not as high as a lot of this model but the walkway is well decorated. The ride appears to be in very good shape. CAPACITY-6 Can hold lots of people but can take awhile if the line is more then 20 people. RIDE QUALITY-7 Very smooth and a good cycle, provides a nice view of the park. FUN-6 Just not as good as some of the others since there is not as much to look at and it is not as tall. RERIDE-5 Been to the park twice I rode once. OVERALL-31 AVG 6.2 I am rating it a six which is a drop from my previous review. It orginally scored too many points for the lights being on during Timbersfest.
