I would have to say one of the best rides in the park. Your mission is to get a iguanadon back t HQ before the extinction of the dinosaurs occures, yu dodge Dinosaures, meteors, and even drive aroud in pitch black. But the best part is when... well, Ill leave that up to you to decide.

cool ride, probably the best at animal kingdom, much like indiana jones ride, if u have neck problems beware. Im still confused, whats a better name count down to extinction or dinosaur?

Awesome! This ride is worth the wait, it move quickly too. This ride is cool with agreta story line. It is way more intense than I thought it would be. Parents, if your child is under 7 I would not bring them on this. I am 18 and I was still scared when the Carnotaurus jumps at you and screams. Its scary for little ones but a heck of a good bumpy time for everyone else.

Did not seem as good to me as when it first opened. Maybe its because they tamed it down or maybe it just doesnt seem as orginal the second time around. The second time I went I had this 12-14 year old girl in the car with me that started throwing a fit in line then proceeded to scream, cry, and cover her eyes the entire time. Unbelievable how long some kids are frightened of things. I also look at an instance like that and wonder why you would bring the kid on a ride if they felt such fear. APPEARANCE-10 Absolutely amazing in all areas. Great dinos and very well themed. CAPACITY-8 Seems like it should be faster but I cant quite put my finger on what should be done. RIDE QUALITY-7 D id not seem as intense or give me the feeling of speed I felt the first time. Still incredibly in sync with the dinos. FUN-7 Maybe the crying kid, maybe low reride but it was not as good to me. RERIDE-7 Still a highpoint at my least favorite Disney park. I could skip it but I am not sure what I would ride in its place until Everest opens. OVERALL-39 AVG-7.8 I will still go 8 by factoring in my memory of the first experience.

Not as good as Disneys other motion sim track ride (Indiana Jones) but still thrilling. It seems to jerk you quite a bit but you get used to it. I rode it when it was called "Countdown to Extinction" (what a better name)and it was a great ride. Everyone should have fun on this ride.

This is the big dud of Animal Kingdom. You can barely the see the cheap looking dinosaurs, and half the ride is taken in pitch darkness. The vehicle bucks and pitches all over the place for no real reason. The finale provides a quick thrill but otherwise this ride is awful. Get somebody to shake your chair at home while in the dark and youll have ridden "Dinosaur".

Good ride. It can be a bit jerky so hold on tight.

Great, fun, and somewhat rough ride! The special FX and animatronics were great! I cant imagine how this was before they "tamed it down" because it was pretty jerky when I went on it afterwards. I hope that is all they tamed down though, the jerkiness of the ride and not the effects or ride itself.

Im not that big a fan of animal kingdom, but this ride was well done. It is a ride that everyone can go on, but still provides some good thrills. The dinosaurs are well done also, and move very well too. Overall this is a pretty good ride at a not-so-good park.

The ride is extrenmely greatly done. The line theming is pretty good. But what got me most into liking this ride were the way the animatronics moved, especially when the dinosaur starts to follow your vehicle. The story is pretty good too. Also the boarding area is awesome.
