This ride scared the crap out of me the 1st time i rode it. The 2nd time it was boring. Very overrated.
Great ride. Nice scenery and cool train. It is scary and dark but if you get over it, its a great adventure.
Not that great. But, could be better.
So much fun, I rode it multiple times in a row. The queue will leave you very interested while you wait so dont fret long lines. The actual ride is very thrilling and while definitely leave you lauging. Not suggested for little children or those afraid of the dark, though.
I consider this one of the better rides at WDW. The animatronics are very convincing. I believe that the ride has been toned down a little from its early years. The scenery, soundtrack and other elements remain as interesting as before though.
When I rode this ride it was still called Countdown to Extiction. Its obviously been a long time, but I cna still remember the ride pretty well. It had good effects along the way. The vehicles were a lot better than I thought they would be. I do remember losing a pair of sunglasses on the ride, but thats my fault for not putting them in the holder in front of the seat.
Oh my goodness THIS ride has an 8.xx rating on this site? OK I really wanted to give it a chance, but it was pretty lame in my opinion. "Not our dino!" will be one of the most memorable yet disapointing lines in amusement park history to me - the ride was very poorly done. The effects were pretty weak and too random and the ride was very predictable. Kinda jerky and like a poor mans Spiderman - but Disney has much more money than Universal so that cant be true! It wasnt a horrible attraction but it was very weak and I think that its terribly overrated here. Unless, of course, I rode an entirely different ride than everyone else
UPDATE: I think a three may have been too high, Im settling with a two.
This ride is very fun and great. The Countdown to Extinction version was MUCH better, but I still love this one. The animatronics are amazing. The vehicles Disney designed for this are the exact same used in Indiana Jones at Disneyland Adventure in Californa. For the most part, the ride feels very realistic. It is scary for smaller children. Its very dark and noisy. I could probally relate it to the old Alien Encounter (which I miss very much)
The 1st pre-show room has a nice little Dinosaur info spiel from Bill Nye (also seen in Ellens Energy).
Again one of my favorites. I find it so funny. The fact that the ride is so jerky makes it even better. Because what would the ground be like if you could go back that far in time. I love the effects of this ride too. The part where the one is eating the other is just classic. I even like the storyline here. I think that this is a ride I would caution parents about, I think boy totally into dinosaurs would find this great.. but a little girl? Some parts of kind of scary and graphic. Just be careful!
Loads of fun. One of my favorite attractions. Tip: If you go on it for the first time, ride it with some one who has never been on it also and ride in the very front. It was such a fun experience.
