This show is old and its very short. I think that if Disney were to redo it and update the animations and robots and made them more realistic than that would make the show a must see show. The blue ant (forgot his name) has an eye that does work and it looks like it isnt mantianed very well.
Attacking hornets, farting bugs, acid spitting termites and quill throwing tarantulas make this a one of a kind 3D experience. The set is absolutely phenomenal, and the effects are far better than any I have experienced before. To me this is up there with Spiderman as one of the greatest 3D attractions ever!
A surprisingly good little show. I was wanting to go ride Dinosaur again, but my friends dragged me through it. It was actually pretty funny, and there are a few surprises in it - like the little pieces of wood on the seats that stick up to make it seem like there are bigs crawling around on your seat.
very funny show with great 3-d effects. i loved the interaction to on the seat.
The theater desinged under the tree is really impressive. Along with the bug-eye googles and unbelievable creepying effect under your seat, this show is in its own league. However, my enjoyement of this show somehow ruined by the often-out-of-focus 3d image. The film looks pretty blurry to me. They did a much better job at generating 3d image on Mickeys Philharmagic. Which is definetly an improvement over this show.
This is a good attraction for teenagers and adult, but probably a great one for young children. The show takes place inside in the Tree of Life which is awesome because you get a chance to not only few the animal carvings on the tree up close, but actually touch some of them. The show is very comical and the special effects are great. Young children seemed to be having a ball watching bugs talk to them. The only negative I have is the while waiting to be seated an entire crowd of maybe 100-200 people wait together, huddled inside the tree. There are no lines and when the doors open it is like a stampede. Not for the claustraphobic type.
Compared to the other 4-D movies in WDW, this one was a bit disappointing. The theater itself is housed inside the Tree of Life and thus the queue experience was first rate. The animatronic Hopper was very believable. However it didnt have the Disney magic of Mickeys Philharmagic or the off-the-wall zaniness of the Muppets. Still I would recommend to anyone except the very bug-phobic or small children.
I love 3d show but the 3d quality in this show is awful! The resolution pales in comparasion to the rest like Terminator, sherk or IMAX 3D format film. About other sensary effects, well they are done very nicely but they are just supporting cast which I could care less about them.
This show is definitely an experience. The movie is entertaining, the sensory effects are well done, the theatre under the tree of life is a very creative idea, and even the line is good, since you get time to admire the intricacies of the tree of life as you descend to the theatre underneath.
This is probably one of the most "intense" theme park 3D movies, because the entire time, you are basically under attack by the bugs. But its a lot of fun and highly entertaining. Disney definitely knows how to do a 3D attraction well.
