An absolutely fantastic ride. The fire layout is great, the dueling effect makes this the most original inverted on the planet, and some of the best theming put on a coaster including the awe inspiring waiting line. Not to mention, the little bunny hop over the ice zero G roll gave me the only ligitimate pop of airtime on an inverted coaster Ive ever felt.

This coaster is awesome. The inversions are intense, the first drop is sweet, the gs are plentiful. Great ride, only downside is the dragons are a very slow loader.

This was an okay ride. It wasnt that special but the lines were really short, otherwise it wouldnt have been worth waiting for. Skip Disneydump, go to Universal instead!

This , out of the two, is the more roller coasterish feel to it, while the other just scares you by haveing the most "foot
chooper" effects on it. Either one, Fire is awesome! It has it all! Great drop, nice inversions, almost perfect timing on the foot chopper effect, and a nice finally. But the reason im not giving it a ten is becasue the whole hype of the ride was the dueling effect, and the fire dragon coaster was a little ahead of the ice coaster, and me being in the fron, wasnt that great. But hey, it still was an awesome coaster. so ill give it a nine.

Both of these are just fantastic. When i went the line was almost too short. It was so quick that you couldnt hardly look at the castle. This may be the greatest line ever. The ride is just fantastic, I rode it several times. Best ride in the park.

I thought this coaster was the coolest thing in Universal Islands of Adventure. Personally I think Fire is a bit better than Ice, but they are both worthy of a 10.

THIS IS A GREAT RIDE. IT MAY BE SHORT BUT IT MAKES UP FOR THAT THROUGH THE MANY TWISTS, TURNS AND INVERSIONS OF THE RIDE. THERE IS NO WAY TO EXPLAIN THIS RIDE, YOU HAVE TO RIDE IT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IM SAYING. FROM THE MOMENT THE FLOOR DROPS FROM UNDER YOU AT THE STATION AND YOUR JERKED FORWARD {WHICH ADDS TO THE THRILL OF THE RIDE} AND CLIMB UP THE 80+ ft OF THE LIFT HILL TO THE FINAL BREAK RUN SOMETHING ALWAYS KEEPS YOU GIGGLING. THE WHOLE RIDE IS VERY WELL THEMED. AND THE TRAINS WERE SURPRISINGLY WELL DETAILED AND MAINTAINED CONSIDERING ITS AGE. I ESPECIALLY LOVED THE WAY YOU MEET UP WITH THE ICE DRAGON AFTER YOU LEAVE THE STATION AND HOW ONE TRAIN ALWAYS CLIMBED THE LIFT HILL FASTER THAN THE OTHER {THE TRAINS ARE WEIGHED IN THE STATION SO THAT THEY CAN TIME THE COLLISION POINTS BETTER, SO ONE TRAIN MAY HAVE TO LEAVE EARLIER TO KEEP UP WITH THE OTHER DURING THE RIDE}
THEN OFF YOU GO THE FIRST DROP JERKS YOU OUTWARD AND YOU ARE FLYING DOWN THIS STEEP, TERRIFYING DROP AND ARE INVERTED MANY TIMES BEFORE THE FINAL BRAKES. MY TWO FAVORITE INVERSIONS WERE THE WEIGHTLESS COLLISION { WHEN THE FIRE DOES AN AIRTIME HILL OVER THE ICE WHICH IS DOING A ZEROg ROLL} AND THE VERT. LOOPS {WHEN THEY BOTH ARE RACING TOWARDS EACH OTHER AND PULL UP AT THE LAST MINUTE, YOU COME EXACTLY ONE FOOT FROM THE OTHER TRAIN I WAS TOLD BY THE RIDE OPERATOR} AFTER THAT THE RIDE IS PRETTY MUCH LIKE OTHERS. LIKE MANY HAVE SAID THE RIDE WOULDNT BE DIFFERENT IF IT WERENT FOR THE UNIQUE DUELING EFFECTS, BUT THATS WHAT SEPERATES IT. KUDOS TO UNIVERSAL FOR THIS THRILL MACHINE. EXCITED TO SEE WHATS IN THE FUTURE.

Hard to seperate the two. Both are great. That que is a monster. I went in an off peak time when there was no line. It took almost five minutes to get to the station and we almost got lost a few times. I kept thinking of that line from Spinal Tap "Hello Cleavland."

I dunno. I know lots of people love this coaster, but Im not crazy about it. I think Ice is intense but fun, while this one is intense but rough. That weird inversion thing in the middle looks awesome, but all it does to me is knock me around. I wont give it a terrible rating becaus ethe dueling is neat and some parts are quite fun, but its too rough to really rank all that high, in my opinion. I dont mind it rough, but not this rough! The theming of the castle is astounding for either this side or the Ice side.

This ride was the last stop of the day and it was the ride I was waiting for all day basicly. I went on Ice first but I like this one just a bit more. The ride was pretty intense and a bit rough but not too rough. The first near miss is the best I think, I felt the need to lift my feet up a bit at that part on both. The loop was cool too, looking down I saw other peoples shoes just fly by. There were a few jerks to the side that I didnt like too much. Other than that it was a great ride. The line is nice but its way too long. I also like how the ride is over that pit of disgusting water. Being flung out of that ride would be one thing, but landing in that disgusting water would be just terrible. lol
