Thats a fun ride. Big fun! Im glad i decided to buy the all-day-pass and not just a single-ride. This one is definitely a first-row-coaster to me. I cant say which part of the ride is best. The launch is fast, the overbank is fun, the loop is great (especially going backwards), the midcourse acceleration is nice, and the curves give a good preparation to the final spike.

Simply liked riding that thing around the whole day alot. Riding in the dark still gave it some bonus.

Just got back from a trip to the west coast to ride rollercoasters. Speed: The Ride was amazing! Premier has finally got it right. Two awesome launches, smooth (even with OTSRs), and flat out SPEED!! The overbanked turn after the initial launch is intense, as well as the trench and vertical loop. Then the second set of LIMs kicks in and you blast off into the sky. The front is the only way to go. I loved the double ride as you get to look forward to something even after the first ride is over!

Great launch, great ride. This is the best coaster in Vegas. The second burst of acceleration was great. My only complaint was that I wished it could have been longer. I thought they could have added another element or two.

This ride has to be the BEST in Vegas and the best launch roller coaster i have been on yet. People think that becuase it doesnt have a drop they wont get that feeling that hate, WRONG!! The high speed launch brings a new senseation. It is hard to describe but it feels like your skin is stretching and the gs crunch your stomach and body. The first launch shoots you off at 45 mph in 2 seconds. The loops pulls some strong gs. THen the second set of LIMs accelerate you to 70 mph which is awesome becuase your hair is being blown back. The tower is awesome and high. The reverse part is cool. You get to go Twice in a row so it is the BEST!!!

Speed: The Ride is a glorified shuttle loop, but it is an AWESOME glorified shuttle loop! When in Vegas make sure to ride this amazing coaster. The ride starts within the Nascar Cafe portion of the Sahara Casino there you buy a reasonably priced ticket and get in the line. I have been on this coaster twice in Vegas and there has never been a line so no worries. The trains have a bullet shaped look to them and they travel just about as fast as one. The rides starts with a 35mph launch out of the station into a banked turn. From the turn the coaster drops into a tunnel and goes into an intense loop. Then the train traverses a speedy straightaway. The coaster nearily avoids hitting the casino and then hits the second set of LIMS which boost the train to 70mph. The train goes straight up a 225ft vertical spike which gives some good floater air time. Then the coaster does the same thing in reverse. Speed:The Ride lives up to its name since the thrills come very close to each other in a very short amount of time. This is definetly worth forking over 6-12 bucks since this is a real excellent coaster. So in conclusion if you want an adrenaline rush come to the Saraha. X-Cellents Tip:Ride in the front row it gives a greater illusion of speed

Absolutely incredible coaster! Launch is unbelieveable, plus the ride people pull a really cool trick on you. For best experience, ride in the front and back seats.

Awesome launch and I love the airtime at the top of the spike. Its my favorite coaster in Vegas. It is over pretty quick, but getting a second ride makes up for it.

Im willing to say that Big Shot at Stratosphere is the most heart pumping, scary ride in vegas. But it is $12 for a single ride $15 for 2 (reride ticket is $3) the cost of 2 rides on Big Shot is the same as an ALL DAY Speed: The Ride band. I have now ridden it over 80 some times, and it is my favorite thrill ride/ roller coaster I have ever been on, and I know it will be in my top ten forever because it just deleivers awesome rushes on so many parts. The first rush is the initial launch from 0-45 in 2 seconds. Pinned back into your seat realizing the statement that they say as you make your way to speed is all to true "Zero to blur in one gasp". You are then diving 25 ft underground into a tight tunnel, only to exit the tunnel by going into the 72 ft tall loop, and what a loop perfectly shaped where it is intense but insanely fun with no real high g force spike so it is painful. You then exit that to be shot from 35-70 in another 2 seconds. You blast through the marquee and take a right turn then a long left around the Porte Corche then you are up, up up, getting over 5 seconds of hangtime in the front car, you get it going up and going down, dont ask me, you just become weightless as you go vertical, then you do the ride backwards, only to slow slightly before re entering the more intense loop. But hold on, after you arrive at the station they will check the comfortable harnesses before you do it again. Im not saying that lap bars would be cool but it is low priority because this ride is already perfect as is.
