I believe I had two or three rides on this beast, one of them being free since i got a free ride coupon when I went to take a spin on Desperado the day before. Definatly wasnt the smoothest of them all (not surprising, being Togo and all) but definatly wasnt as bad as other people make it out to be. There is one section that does shake you up pretty badly, and that is entering the loop. Other than that, its a fairly entertaining ride but nothing special.
This coaster is certainly beautiful running all around the New York, New York Hotel & Casino. I was wary of it, because as soon as we saw the trains we guessed correctly that it was TOGO. We sat in the front for both our rides and it greatly reduced the roughness (as was apparent from the moans and groans of riders behind us). The coaster itself was pretty good, but still had some drops that slammed the train rather than gliding it in. One element in particular was unique and worth note: a heartline roll into a reversing dive. Very effective and executed quite well. A good ride in the front seat - I cant vouch for the ride in seats behind.
10$ a ride with coupon. The ride isnt wort it. Its a fun ride but nothing special. The only thing i really liked alot was the surrounding and the twist-dive-element - that was really something special. The ride is a little rough but not too much that it would kill the fun.
All in all its an average overpriced ride.
I really enjoyed ridding the Manhatten Express in New York New York in Las Vegas. Its a great coaster even though you get bashed around a lot.But I really injoyed Manhatten Express dispite the bashing around.I rode it twice once with my dad who didnt like it at all. Then I rode it again by my self in the first row.And the 1st row is very awesome. You dont get bashed around that much in the 1st row.If you ever in Las Vegas I recomend you stopping over New York New York and ride the Manhatten express. To me it was well wearth the $12.00.It was to bad that they didnt have any Manhatten Express Tie Shirts at all.
I agree with the previous review that this ride is a piece of junk. Head banger, no airtime and too expensive.
Please disreguard this below. The Manhattan Express has gone under rehab and is now complete with it. The track has been grinded and the trains have new wheels. The coaster is a number one again! Manhattan Express is back to its old fame and glory!

i dont really like this ride because its a togo head banger i dont like any part of this ride but the zero-g roll
Decent coaster. I think of it as a mini version of Viper at SFMM. It is pretty expensive to ride though. Nice view.
A fun ride but too rough and too expensive.
This is a GREAT ride. The view at the top is amazing, you can see the whole strip. The ride is smooth and quiet. It goes around the whole casino and the loops and elements are great and unique. The bunny hops at the end are so perfect that it makes you feel like you are going to lose your lunch. The ride ends with a great 540 helix. The ride is expensive but if you stay there you can get a 2 for 1 deal. The ride is SO MUCH better at night becuase the whole strip lights up. This is a must ride!
I rode the Manhatten Express in November of 2001 and the price was $10.50 per ride (yikes!). However, they just started offering an All Day Scream Pass for $30.00. Thats still rather high but much better than 10 bucks per ride. This ride does have some pretty cool elements but it does shake you around a little bit, although not enough that I would avoid riding it. This is a Togo roller coaster, which unfortunately does not have a good reputation. There are several other companies, which could have done a much better job. I can not honestly give this ride a high rating simply because of the high cost for what youre getting.
