The best part of this ferris wheel is its appearance. It is such a great sight to see this thing gleaming with countless lights at the end of the pier over the ocean at nighttime. The wheel itself is pretty tall, and the seats are round bucket types, so an entire group can get into one no problem. The first cycle around the wheel is pretty exciting, as you first get to experience the height and realize that you are extended well out past the breaking waves on the beach. On the other side is just ocean, and if you ride at night, it is just an eerie blackness. Unfortunately, the novelty wears off. The ride doesnt spin too fast, and the seats dont swing too much, so as you continue to go around, it gets a bit redundant. Maybe this is all I should expect from a ferris wheel, but Im still hoping for a "thrill ride" wheel.
