Not a good dark ride. Very short and very dull. There was a spooky soundtrack, and the only thing that moved was the nauseous guys spew, which was pretty cool, but that was all there was. Since its so short, it might be better promoted as a lil kids first dark ride. We rode in the early evening, and there was much light peeking in through cracks in the structure.
Yeah, this is pretty crappy. But any dark ride is a treat now-a-days. I thought the old "Casa Macabre" facade was a little bit cooler, although the phallic-like objects protruding from the front may have been a little in-appropriate. Maybe re-theming it based on the Jersey Devil legend would be a more interesting tie-in.
short and weak dark ride. They tried to duplicate the Knoebels truck trick but you see it coming before it happens. There is a stunt with a guy puking into a garbage pail that looks pretty realistic, disgusting but realistic.
a very short dark ride. Even though I love dark rides, I cant give it any more than a 5.
I agree the Jersey Junkyard needs some help. However, the Hunt’s Pier Whacky Shack
was created from the same cheap dark ride.
Teriible ride - They are however redoing this ride for the 2004 season - we shall see.
^^^^ You got it dead on. this ride sucks. all you see is a flash of light and a giant truck. nothing specail.
Wow, this spook house just plain...sucks! The only good parts are the name, artwork on the facade and the prop of the truck lights and horn so it seems that a truck is about to run you over (which has been taken out.) Also, this ride has the weird and probably dangerous ability to spew copious amounts of sparks from the cars wheels as they round a turn.
The props inside are miniature sized for the most part which makes them completely passive looking. Id advise to only ride this if you have a wristband.
