Loses a point for the anti-climatic ending, but Adventure Express is by far the best mine train Ive ridden with great theming, headchoppers, and an interesting layout. The tunnels also have an odd smell that really does make you feel into the experience that youre on the expedition along with the speakers voice in the station that tells what has happened. Overall, a fast, fun ride with short lines that can be ridden over and over again. **EDIT** Ive visited a few more mine trains at a few new parks and Adventure Express is honestly the ultimate! If you know me, I vote on "levels" and since this isnt the best steel coaster at the park, but it is a darn good mine ride, it gets an easy 8!
Solid mine train coaster, which I do love. However, the final hill would let ANYONE down. Just such a build up with the hammering statues and the steep incline, only to make a gentle turn into the station. I keep hoping for them to put in a drop or a spiral turn/helix just for a surprise one season.
Ride at night, much better experience.
OKAY .. added point ... They had to have sped this thing up a bit somehow. My fiancee and I were whipped around and had a much wilder ride than normal. Ive ridden this ride more than any other at the park, and I swear its faster this season.
Its an above average mine train, but thats not saying much. I did find the scenes to be remeniscent of classic scenic railways and the ending to be a hilarious let-down. By that, I mean it was a let-down, but the very fact that it was a big build up and then to go into the station was rather funny.
The ending is pretty lame, but the rest is pretty fun and I like tunnels on any ride.
its ok kinda boring especially thinking theres a drop after the last lift but really just going into the station
I have always enjoyed mine rides, and I consider this ride to be best mine ride I haven ridden (barring Gemini, of course). The quick dips and turns as well as the speed are good for what the ride is.
A fairly average mine train.
A surprisingly fun ride--Great curves, tunnels, and laterals. The lifthill at the end was kinda strange--you get to the top and just curve into the station. All in all, a good ride with short lines.
A very fun mine train with a great psyche-out ending. Great visuals and a fun ride.
This is a fun mine coaster, Ive been on a few and this is probably the best one. Its very jerky in the front but kinda fun in the back. The anticlimactic ending is disappointing but you cant expect too much coming from a family ride.
