Nothing special at all here. Not even one of the better mine rides. The last tunnel would have saved it, but the lift hill just brings you back to the station- major dissapointment.
This was a cool coaster. Had the last tunnel been the first tunnel, it would have been a lot cooler.
I actually rate this ride higher because of its uniqueness. Its a good mine car ride. I just, like others, wish that the ending wasnt so anti-climactic.
Nice family ride. Great theming in the tunnels. Much better than Cedar Creek Mine Ride.
Delightfully Bland! The actually ride itself is pretty darn good but the themeing really needs some work. Ive never ridden it with all the themeing on. Itd be a 10 in my book if they actually used the themeing that they spent all that money on!
When this ride first opened I loved it. One night I went and rode for hours- it was great. Durring that time more of the effects were still running- like the tunnel full of mist for example. 10 years later I no longer see mist in that tunnel at all. Still a good coaster though, it somehow mantains its speed through just about the entire course. Smooth up front- rough in the back- a good ride.
Its an okay ride. Kind of jerky for a wood-structure, steel-tube coaster. I usually ride it, though, because the line is always short and its on the way to Vortex and Beast! A friend of mine always insists on riding in the front seat. I always think, "Why?"
Cheezy themeing and it was rough as hell.. besides that, its not half bad.. (great view of SoB as well)
I guess no one knows a good mine train when they see one, because this one is easily the most perfect of them all. The theming has lost some of its touch, but it still provides a great intense ride, a long course, the greatest capacity at the park, and an interesting layout. The statues in the last tunnel are cool and its still much better than most of the rides out there.
If you know me well, you know theres nothing I love more than a good wood coaster or a beautifully themed mine ride! I love the variety and changes of direction this coasters offers and its one where you actually do feel youre being chased or on a runaway train. The theming is nice and the last lift hill is a lot better than what they could have done with it in the way of an entertaining return to the station. Has that great jerky feel to it and the smell that only Arrow mine rides have.
