Diablo Falls was a unique and enjoyable water ride for an amusement park. This was essentially a water slide that you can ride with your clothes on. While weve seen the two-person raft water slide ride down an enclosed tube for quite some time at theme parks, this is an open chute with large circular rafts that accomodate up to about half a dozen people at a time. The lift hill brings you up to the top, and then the ride essentially spirals down toward the bottom. The rafts, in the meantime, are also spinning like mad. This produced almost a flat ride spin and puke kind of intensity. They also slosh up and down the sides of the trench on the turns. When you hit the bottom, the trough levels out and you have a little double dip (which sort of catches riders used to all the spinning a little off guard) that then dumps you into the pool. This provides a decent, if not drenching, splash. There are also geysers positioned here that, if they go off as your raft goes by, soak even more. Diablo Falls, along with SWAT, stand in the site of the old Texas Tornado coaster. Im not saying that was worth taking away for this, but I did find this very enjoyable, and other parks should look into adding one of these to their collection of water rides as well.

Worst ride ever!! It made me sick. All it did was spin the whole time. You dont even get wet... AT ALL!! There are little geyser things at the bottom of the chute that go off every few minutes, but they arent timed to spray when the raft goes by. This ride SUCKS!!

This ride starts off like a normal round water raft slide but as you go around the turns and down the slide, they have rubber mats placed every so often that grab the underside of the round raft and start spinning it. Very enjoyable.
