I agree with many of the other reviews that this is a good step to the big rides for young kids. It even seems designed for smaller bodies with the tight cars and seats. From my point of view it is a fair ride with smooth motion and good loops. The starter hill and the speed is just enough to satisfy my need for speed though.
Corkscrews a great starter looper for lil kids, but to me, it was kinda out of date b/c of its short track length. I know that it was the first coaster to go through 3 inversions, but they couldve made the course a lil bit longer to complete the whole ride. Its just a drop, airtime hill, vertical loop, some straight away track, consecutive corkscrews, & brakes. The corkscrews over the midways nice to look at though. I also got a lil bit of a headache too after I got off of Corkscrew. Corkscrews better than Whirlwind, Knoebels former corkscrew, but its still not all that good.
Compared to other corkscrew type coasters, I will give this an 8 on the creativeness of the layout alone. Of course, I see where this is considered more of a "custom looping coaster" as opposed to an out of the box "corkscrew coaster".
Not too bad, but not thrilling or anything memorable. Headbanging wasnt that bad but still, it wasnt helping things. The corkscrews over the path were the highlight. I guess the only thing worthy of note here is it was the first coaster to officially have three inversions.
Im sure that one day, long ago this was an amazing ride. But today, this is a major waste of space. It is too short and too rough to be enjoyed. I just find it hard to believe that this still has a place next to the amazing rides they have.
A truly fun ride to WATCH. The ride experience leaves you wanting more, but it is a great crowd teaser because of its layout. Not many parks even allow their coasters to cross overhead walkways anymore so it definitely deserves a 6 for appeal and because it is quite smooth for an Arrow classic.
Im giving this a 5, and really, Im being generous. Its location is great and its nice to look at, but the ride itself is a diffrent story. Too rough and short to be enjoyable.
I dunno. This is a mediocre ride. Its just a drop, followed by a loop another hill and 2 corckscrews. Its pretty rough but it gets points for being the first coaster that actually had 3 loops. No bob, mindbender only has 2. It was also one of my first looping coasters. I mostly rode it for the credit although zooming over the midway was fun.
Just rode this one for the credit, and even then I was wishing that I skipped it over. Rough as hell, and I didnt enjoy it at all. The best part of the ride is watching the corkscrews over the mid-way from underneath them.
why in the heck would i give this ride an 8?? i have a few reasons. i rode this ride and of course like most coaster enthusiasts, we get off thinking...did i miss something?? it is rough, it is slow, and its pretty darn dull, but i gave it an 8 because i have a spot of arrow corkscrews. this was the first with 3 loops, and it was cedar points first looping coaster ever. another reason i gave it an 8 is because i think its pretty cool how people can walk beneath it and the riders can look at the spectators below. this coaster adds a certain photogentic charm to the park. all in all, its a corkscrew with a loop.
