I am going to go against all odds and give this ride a 6 for a few reasons. One, I have only ridden one bobsled and this is it. Two, it has some cool theming in the queues and last, other than the short length, it was quite thrilling b/c it was completely in the dark.

Hint hint. With some effects would make a great 4d ride.

First impression was that I thought it was better than some of the other crap presented at CP [*coughCORKSCREWcough*], but that on the whole it sucked. However, I re-rode it last week and I found it to be much more enjoyable. Easily worth another ratings point, if not two [I just moved it up one]. So, yay DT.

Wow, this is a terrible ride. The theming makes no sense. There were signs everywhere that said, "Welcome to Alaska!" In one room there was a cheesy looking fusion thing. It was extremely loud and annoying. After that we walked up a small set of stairs and crammed into a small car. After that we went up a very bright lifthill. The falshing lights got bothersome quickly though. After that we went down through a series of tight spirals and twists. The theming on this part was bizzare. I even heard a female voice say, "Watch out Biker!" Ummmm.... arent we on a space ship? After that we hit the final brake run, and our trip to hell was over. The only good part about this ride was the cool lighting at the end of the ride (If you smiled it made your teeth turn green.) I think this ride would have been more fun if it wasnt enclosed. I rode la Vibora once. It was a much more enjoyable coaster. I think it was much more fun just because you could see how high up the walls you were going. People in my car were screaming, "Whoa! Were gonna fly off!" However, CP ruined a good ride by enclosing it. The general public doesnt even know its a bobsled coaster. And, 1$ for 3-d glasses that didnt even work!!?

A lot of people say that this is a bad ride, but I think it is just like the under-apreciated child in the family. It is not the fastest ride in the park, but it is cool to ride, especially since some parts you cant see anything at all.

Disaster Transport has the ptoential to become a great ride. Their first mistake is calling it a coaster. Technically, it is, but when people queue up for an indoor roller coaster, they expect Flight of Fear from Paramount, not Space Mountains little cousin who tries way to hard to be just like Space Mountain (Which isnt all that fast-paced of a ride to begin with.) The theming is second rate, but has the ability to have so much more. First off, its like you are in some kind of space travel place. I dont get it, because the in the first entry room, there are pictures of posters depicting tips ot Atlantis, Paris, and Rome. It doesnt fit the theme of space. After a series of rooms having no specific theme, guests enter Maitenence Bay 1, where there is a large, obviously fake reactor tube that lights up and whirs like a lawn mower. After being led through countless other rooms, (while listening to people all around you, and often yourself going "The ride must be right around this corner..." But it never is.) you are finally hereded up stairs to some little room where ONE person is loading the cars, checking the seatbelts, and hitting the button to send them off. Yet they still give a thumbs up to the other non existent co-workers. People oftn complain that the ride is boreing and short. Its not that I dont agree, but its not entirely Cedar Points fault. You see, Disaster Transport was originally called "Avalanche Run." It is a bobled coaster, meaning there is one lift hill and the rest of the ride has to be downhill at a fairly pointed angle, or the ride could just stop. Therefore, the weight of the people in the car affect the ride time. All that CP did was cover Avalanche Run in a building and add a space theme. Its stillt he same ride in the same spot. As I said, its a bobsled coaster, so it cannot go UP any hills other thean the first one, and since theres only so much room in that building, it has to spiral a lot and moved downards while staying in a very small vicinity (hence the many many tight helixes.) How to improve this ride? one word: Themeing... A gift bestowed deeply upon Universal and Disney, but stolen from Cedar. Why is this Raptor dragging us through the air? If it were at Disney or Universal, wed find out exactly why in a technologically advence, story-line ridden preshow. But here? We are invited into some big building that plays no significant role in the ride except to house it and are ushered past signs of space trips... to paris... Mixed themeing is a no no! If this ride could recive a story line to compliment its name (which holds such promising possibilies) this ride might be worth it. Suppose your asked to tour a space flight facility when something goes wrong and a comet is headed for a space station. The touring facility announces that they will need you to go on a secret mission to the Space Station to save the astronauts. Add quicker loading time and a preshow to control crowds and your all set! Your on your way to save sum astronauts! Its that simple people! Try thinking of ways to make rides better instead of just sayin how stupid they are!

i cant believe i waited a whole two hours for this thing! The themeing is terrible and wats with the sign that says welcome to alaska...the best part is the AC. It feels great on a hot day. The cheap 3D glasses flew right off my head as soon as the ride started. Its funny to talk about though when u get off so jus ride it for laughs and to cool off!

Im sorry folks, but this was nothing special. Some poor glow-in-the-dark theming with a wimpy track layout, though it was much longer than I was expecting. However, there needed to be more hills to make this a good ride.

The darkness part of this ride is what makes it special. I skipped the 3-D glasses and didnt think it affected the ride at all. The queue line is the most elaborately themed in the whole park too! The ride itself is pretty short, but its quick and provides some good swinging at times. Solid family ride.

I think the effects on this ride are terrible. Also while waiting in line I heard there were ACs but I was sweating my a$$ off I guess there wasnt any AC on that day. The ride is ok I guess for a bobsled ride, but I wouldnt mind if they got rid of it and put nice roller coaster in.
