I rode the Mean Streak the first year it opened. that is what my rating is based on. no brakes. nice speed, some good airtime, & the nice rough you up sensation that i love in roller coasters.
Maybe they should consider taking a car off the train & having 6 cars to lower stress on the track & this would possibly eliminate the need for the trim brakes?

Kind of sad as I expected alot more but its way too slow and too rough although most woodies are a little rough. If they would cut back on the brakes and smooth it out it could be awesome. Really looks poor with all the other awesome coasters they have there.

Big dissapointment. This ride was rough and very unenjoyable. I dont recommend this ride to anybody.

This coaster has an intimidating look, but it rides like a death trap. This ride is rough to the point that it is difficult to enjoy this ride.

I dont see how people hate it? I thought this was fun! The drops were awesome! It wasnt rough to me at all! I thought it was going to be so rough, but it wasnt. Only one corner to me, seemed rough. I thought it was fun! And we didnt wait at all! It was a walk on!

Not a very good coaster for its scale, this ride is pretty disappointing. I rode only once (in the front seat) and it seemed slow and plodding to me, with too frequent trim breaks. It was vaguely reimenisent of the slow "Dragon Coaster" at Rye Playland, but that park never pretends that its coaster is great.

OK, this ride turned out to be a joke when I rode it. Im not one to worry about the brakes on the big drop, but everything else is so slow. I found barely any airtime, hence the fact that most turns and hills are very high up. Not only that, but this ride is rough!! I never really cared about roughness before, but this ride changed that.The ride was baloney. At least its part of my track record.

I had to laugh very hard at the gigantic banner that read "Mean Streak, voted among the Top 10 Wooden Coasters in the World!" Wow, what a load of crap...definitely my new least-favorite coaster. No airtime. No forces. Just awkward, rough transitions. And the ride was ridiculously long, as well. I didnt think Id ever wish a coaster was shorter, but I did in this case with Mean Streak. Honestly, do yourself a favor and skip this coaster, even if you are a coaster-count-whore

The Mean Streak was probably the biggest letdown of my trip to Cedar Point. This massive wooden coaster does nothing. I will say that it was fairly smooth for its size and age, but what a snoozer! Its nothing but turns and short forgetable drops. I dont recall any airtime. Just what amounted to a long tour ride around a huge wooden structure. Its even lacking in speed, probably becuase you spend a lot of the ride at higher elevations. At least Mean Streak wont beat you up. My ride in the middle wasnt very rough at all. After riding, I recognized a major chink in Cedar Points armor. The park doesnt have a solid woodie to speak of. Final Rating - 5.0 (Average)
