Yikes. Rough, semi-painful restraints, long waits, and boring. Not a good combination.

Mantis was a lot of fun. The layouts very twisted & for my first stand-up coaster, it was just a unique concept. The inversions were good & I loved all of those banked turns at the end. I didnt really get a lot of headbanging on Mantis. I guess its probably b/c of me standing 61. Also, I did notice the trim on the first drop, but I didnt really feel that it was tuned up. It lost a pt. b/c of the bottom part of the restraints. Was it really necessary to put on a part of the restraint that holds your butt up the whole ride? It felt really funny on the whole ride & it was pretty uncomfortable. If they got rid of those, Mantis wouldve definitely got a 10 for originality. If you havent been on a stand-up b/f, try out Mantis at CP as youve experienced one of the tallest, longest, & fastest stand-up coasters w/a steep first drop.

This was a terrible ride. When I was going down the hill, I felt the seat unlock from standing position. So, I had to really support myself with my leg, and my leg was in SO MUCH pain. And, this thing beat my ears up. Its just way too rough.

I was a bit worried when I got strapped into this coaster. The seat design is a little... well... unique. I was truely worried about the safety of... well... certain parts of my anatomy that shall remain nameless. What surprised me was how that fear was unfounded... no pain at all. The parts of my anatomy that took the beating were actually my ears. OUCH! This was a painful coaster. As interesting of a layout as it may have, the pain of the OTSRs trying to either rip my ears off of the side of my head or push them into my skull dropped the rating for this monster.

This is a good ride but definetely not one of B&Ms best. There is this really uncomfortable bar that you sort of sit on and it takes forever for the ride operators to adjust the restraints for short people and atll people. The ride sounds really cool when you walk by because of its hollow track, but once you get on, for a while, the coolness is gone, but once the ride starts like most coasters the fun begins. The first hill is pretty good except there is a brake about halfway down the hill. The purpose of the break? I do not know. Then after you come out of the hill you hit a loop one of Mantiss 4 inversions. I like to think that there are only 3 inversions thought because of the incline loop, it dosnt feel like your going upside down, it feels like your halfway upside down, i know that sounds weird but i guess you would have to ride it to know what i mean. Overall it is a good ride but it is not a must ride.

Very disappointing. Being tall (63" the restraints completely ruined the ride for me and put a lot of pressure on my legs, so there was no way for me to enjoy it. The layout was visually beautiful and the ride had a nice setting on the lake, but the restraints really ruined the experience for me. However, the first drop and the dive loop were excellent and made a good use of the standup concept.

The only other stand up Ive been on is Shockwave at PKD, and this is so much better. It is pretty rough with your head bouncing around a little though. Be careful with that. I say next time you ride, make sure you put your hands up in the first loop- you feel like you are flying! Also, sit on the far right, there are several sudden turns to the right that are so much more fun when youre on that side!

ok this is the number one stand-up that I have ridden. Great height, drop and speed. Just wish they would have had the trim on the first drop off. I think it takes away a little from the intensity of the ride, even though, the rest of the ride didnt disappoint. Nice inversions, twists and turns that will leave you wondering, "which way did I come from?" My only concerns are the dead fish floating in the water in which we crossed in line. If that was a part of the theming, I could understand that, but I hope its not carelessness of the park operations team. Another must-ride!!!

This is a tough one to rate. It has a unique layout with some superb elements, but just dosent seem to deliver like other B&Ms. The first half, especially the dive loop, is the best part. I think the trim brake on the drop is pointless.

Rough in spots, and hurt my crotchal region. The ride itself is a good lay-out with a great selection of elements, so that helped to save the rating. But really, its nothing special. I was expecting much more from my first B&M stand-up.
