Date Ridden: Summer of 2006 and 2007. Also in the fall of 2007. Times Ridden: 17 in every seat at least once.

I have really been putting off this review. MIllenium Force is my favorite ride for a number of reasons and I just did not feel that with words I could do justice to what this coaster has done for me. I know that sounds sappy and that is why I have avoided this review since I joined the site. I assumed most people reviewed their favorite coasters first but I wanted to start with some of the more "out-of-the-way" rides. I think I was simply avoiding this ride review. Anyway, if you will permit, let me take you back in time to the summer of 2006. I had just gone through (and was still going through to be honest) the most difficult time in my life. I am a person of stability and that stability was yanked out from under me like a dirty old rug. I was not doing anything but staying at home in my log cabin at the foot of Lookout Mountain in Georgia when an old friend from high school who had heard about my problems sent me an email stating that he was planning a solo trip to what he called "The Roller Coaster Capital of the World" in a place called Sandusky, OH. I had only ridden about 20 coasters in my life (taking dates to 6 Flags in Atlanta or up to Lake Winnie to the ride the Cannonball) and had never heard of it. I told him I didnt want to go, so then he called....and called......and called. He wouldnt take no for an answer. I finally gave in and slept virtually the entire 12 hour ride up to Ohio while he drove and sung along to some old school Run-DMC. He was excited since it was something he had been thinking about doing for over 5 years but his children were not yet old enough. He had gotten permission from the family to take me off to "clear my head". I had ridden the local coasters but was not aware of what I was getting into. The next thing I remember is what became the greatest coaster moment of my life and a ride that led to a new hobby of visiting theme parks all over the country in the past two years. That moment was going up the unbelievably fast elevator cable lift to the top of the famous (so I now know...at the time I had no clue what Millenium Force was and had never heard of an elevator lift) Millenium Force hill while a slight mist was falling during early ride time on a Thursday morning in June. Before I knew it, we were at the top...(I remember staring out at Lake Eerie and then looking up and seeeing we were at the top). I looked over at my friend and asked if we were already at the top.....and then we dropped...and dropped.....and dropped. I had never even been on a hyper coaster before. I was actually more excited about riding Raptor but my buddy insisted that we go here first. I remember the drop with rain pelting me in the face. I remember the huge banked curve and blacking out slightly (I always do). I remember the underrated head choppers as you go around Millenium Island as the train zooms by the support posts. And I remember speed. An unbelievable amount of speed which is how the ride is built. MF offers different rides depending on where you are sitting but no matter where I ride, it is still my favorite ride in the world. The front offers the unbelievable view of going down the drop. The back offers the sensation of being not just pulled but completely THROWN over the 310 foot hill. But for some reason, I prefer the middle of the train that seems just as fast and offers some surprising airtime over the large hills scattered throughout the course. However, please dont assume that MF is built for airtime. It is not and that is why there are people who dislike it. The forces it offers are awesome but abundant air is not one of them. When riding it, you are going to get a smooth, fast and comfortable ride that you will never forget. This past summer (2007), we did a crazy thing that I came up with. We made the long trek to Agawam,

This coaster rules as a super exciting coaster that reigns as a top-notch, long-lived extreme coaster. Would have given this a 10 (sweet 9.9), but the lines are terrible.

Gave Six Flags Magic Mountains "X" and Cedar Points "Top Thrill" 10s because of creativity.

The thrill of falling 300+ feet at 81 degrees is only surpassed by falling at 90 degrees in "4-d" or more than 400 feet. (Note: havent tried Kingda Ka).

Wow, this one left me speechless. The speed made my eyes water, the hill was by far the most intense thing Ive ever been on, and it was extremely smooth. If I had to say something bad about this one, the lines a bit ridiculous. Its worth the 1-hour wait, but Its a shame that you can really only ride this one once.

The landscaping is incredible, its a great ride, and it adds to the parks intimidating skyline. A must-ride for thrill-seekers who dont want to wait 2 hours for a 20 second ride (top thrill dragster lol)

Most definitely the most intense coaster Ive ever been on. Going up the first hill is a bit scary, but the first drop is absolutely amazing. Its worth the crazy wait to get on it!

As you drive into the park your eye first sees TTD but you are more drawn to the blue behemoth: Millennium Force. You think to yourself "How big and steep is that first drop? How fast does that lift hill go? What happens after the first drop?" Well the only answer is to ride it! As you approach it you see a huge sign proudly declaring its name. You stand in line with other riders anticipating their ride, either in joy or pure terror. To add more to the anticipation, trains come SHOOTING by the queue, passengers screaming, with a loud roar. Even after it hits the brakes it still goes fast! After most of the queue you head up a walkway and then you can see the 310 foot hill looming above. You think to yourself "HOLY ****!" You see trains going up higher and higher and then drop, drop, drop. It takes almost 5 seconds for it to go down! Only a fence protects you from the train full of passengers careening by. You pass by the exit where the riders get off and hear them talk about "The drop." By now youre either ecstatic about that 310 foot tall almost straight to the ground or absolutely terrified. I was the former. You then enter the real station where there are colorful lights and sweet techno music playing. Pick any seat, they all cant shield you from the fantastic view and that drop. You strap yourself in, the ride attendants check your seatbelts, give the ok, and youre off! There is no turn or drop before the lift hill, its all business. You go right into it, and fly up it! Youre staring straight into the sky with a tiny little lap bar holding you in. Look to your right and see Cedar Point below you (And this is the halfway point!) Or look to your left and see Lake Erie in all its glory. After halfway you go even faster up. Before you know it you reached the top, about to experience the best drop you ever had. Do you throw your arms up into the air, succumb to the force? Or hold on for dear life? Either way youre going to have to face it! Down you go, steeper, steeper, tears in your eyes, wind blowing past your face, screaming with pure terror, stomach rising up. You finally reach the bottom of that extremely forceful drop and head into the huge overbank. Youre tossed to your side and you get a huge sudden burst of speed as you go through a turn and into a tunnel. The screams echo and before you know it youre up another hill. You float above your seat as you come crashing back down to earth yet again, although this was a piece of cake. You are now off in your own little island, where nothing exists except the coaster track in front of you. After a huge turn you hit another overbank. Tossed to your side again, you hope that your seatbelt is on tight as you wouldnt want to fly off this marvelous coaster! After a slight turn you head up another hill with more airtime and see the second tunnel looming ahead. You see a bright flash of light and you come shooting out past the station in a bunnyhop and another overbank, hitting the brakes at 60 mph. You scream, clap, high five, laugh, whatever you do, is absolutely normal because who wouldnt show a reaction to the fabulous coaster you just rode on?

Favorite roller coaster ever! Everything about it is awesome...except for the long wait in line, of course! But the ride is worth it!

This is an incredible ride. The first drop is like no other, it looks as good as it feels to ride. I love the 5 Gs you pull at the bottom! The whole coaster kept me very excited. This is worth a long wait, and the line goes pretty quick. One bad thing, same as top thrill dragster, there is no place to put your items so make sure you leave them with a non-rider.

WOW! The height, the drop, the relentless speed, so smooth I was gliding! Best few minutes of my life. I love flying by the people waiting in line and yelling nonsense at them, soo much fun to do. GIVE IT A TRY!!!
