This ride completely rocks! When I first rode it I couldnt believe how tall and steep the lift and first drop were. The airtime over the second hill is incredible and the first high-bank is awesome, too. Definitely the first on my top ten!

When you look at Millenium Force from the ground, you wonder what on earth its designers could have been thinking. With its 80° maximum descent from a height of over 300 feet, you wonder how the engineers would expect that anyone could withstand the sheer terror it would deliver. I know that when I contemplated the fact that MF reaches a speed of over 90 mph on that first hill, I was afraid that I would be in for a brutal trip around the bend and beyond. But then I looked over at the queue and saw all of the eager riders waiting to board--many of them returning guests--and it buoyed my confidence. So ... I got in line.

As I anticipated the experience, I was very much afraid that MF was going to do me in like so many high-G rides have in the past, but I knew that I HAD to experience this thing. Upon riding, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Gs were not a major problem.

The initial descent (from the second row) definitely lived up (or down) to its billing. It felt like my eyes were dilating to the size of frying pans when we finally rounded the crest enough to see the bottom of the hill. It definitely looks like you are going straight down--and you nearly are! From there, you do reach incredible speeds, but MF is so smooth that the positive Gs are quite manageable. Once you get past the first hill, however, it is the negative Gs that deliver the big rewards as you speed over the tops of MFs many subsequent hills. The surprising changes in direction and tunnels at various points along the course, mix in some additional elements of fun.

I rode MF four times in one day and found each trip exhilarating. It is easily one of the best thrill machines in the world--at least I cant imagine that there are very many that could beat it. MF made it worth the six-hour drive to get to Cedar Point.

Hey Mark, I have a problem... there is no 20 on this scale This ride was great!!! Its super smooth and definately packs a huge punch. This ride never lets up. Tons of speed throughout with lots of both positive and negative Gs. The drop is amazing- best drop of any coaster out there. That first overbanked turn is very intense and it got me seeing white my first time on it. Great airtime on the camelback hills. I sat all over the train and found that the front seat was the best for the view, but the back seat is a great spot to make that first drop even better. MUST RIDE!!! Drive, fly, run, take the train, I dont care, just get out here to ride this huge steel coaster!!!

What can I say? Millennium Force is a great coaster in a great park... But its not the best. Intamin has shown what they can really do with a coaster through Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England, Goliath at Six Flags Holland, Expedition Ge Force at Holiday Park and the variety of forces and elements that can incorporate into a coaster of that size and magnitude. For the unmatched record-shattering drop on a continuous track coaster and unbelievably fun overbanked turns, there is still much to be desired in layout. The airtime doenst come near the three Superman coasters and if space was any sort of issue, I would have recommended something along the lines of the bunny hops and twists to be put in like the ending of California Screamin at DCA. Kudos to Cedar Point for pushing us to new heights, but we know they can be more creative with their layouts. Very positive review overall and extremely thrilling and reridable!

Its a real good ride, but after the first hill its a little bit of a letdown. There arent enough hills and because of the high speed there cant be enough changes in direction. Personally, Phantoms Revenge and Magnum are better, thats why the 8.

This coaster is easily number 1 on my list. It is intense all the way through and has everything you could want in a coaster.

I know you have probalby heard ALOT of reviews for MF but what cAn i say it is amazing in every sense. For starters always sit in the back row. It is the best place and you get more speed. Also the seats are slightly elevated for a better ride. As you start out you are taken up an elevator lift system and boy do you fly up that lift! Before you know it you are looking down upon Lake Erie and there is only onw way to get closer to it... STRAIGHT DOWN. And it feels straight down..that 300 ft drop is 80 degrees but it feels 110! After the drop you are blasted into a 122 non inverted banked turn and thrown into the first tunnel where you go into the 180 ft drop. This is where the airtime is the best and you really feel that 93MPH! Next you come into the two banked turns that are positioned into a somewhat pretzel shape(kind of like Magnums but better) after the 3rd banked turn you go into a 100 ft hill and into the second tunnel where ur pic is taken! Dont forget to smile! The last bunny hop gives you some additional air time and you go over the queue line into the last banked turn. The magnetic brakes hit and that was the ride! OMG what a rush..amazing..incredible..it felt like a speed machine and not a rollercoaster...Just a few sayings you might wanna say after you expreience the Millennium Force!

It IS that good, provided you ride it in the back seat.
As long as you dont get too engrossed in the hype like I did, you will realize that is is an exceptional ride. Its like in 99 when Star Wars Episode I came out. It was so overhyped that no matter how good the movie was it would be impssible for it to be as good as peole thought it was.
So I think this is the best ride Ive ever ridden? - sure! But also, I do realize that its just a roller coaster and even though it is the best its not lightyears above all the others. Think of it as the Harvard of Roller Coasters - its going to be rated the best but the fact remains that plenty of other really good rides do come close to its level of excellence. It stands atop a great list of rides, it jusy isnt sooo amazing that its in a league of its own.
Just to have me straight, do understand that I LOVE this ride. I am going to work at Cedar Point this summer and actually lost sleep one night because I couldnt fall asleep because I was fantasizing about getting to ride this again and again.
So, go to Cedar Point and ride this ride in the back seat. Even better, ride it in the back seat at night. Enjoy one of the greatest roller coaster thrills the world has to offer, but just keep in mind that it just just another coaster the same way Harvard is just another college.
