this is an ausome ride I went last sat. and loved it the time i was their befor thet i couldnt ride it sinse the boats were in switzerland and the building was only steen supots. a must ride

Busch Gardens definitely turned an ordinary splash down ride into a pleasurable experience. Going through Pompeii as it is being destroyed is real cool. Or should I say hot since the fire warms things up before a refreshing splash of water at the bottom of the hill.

Youre an archeologist exploring the ruins of Pompeii when Mount Vesuvis erupts! What are you to do? Ride a boat and get a nice splashdown of course! The theming of this ride is great, warms you up quite a bit (yes, that IS real fire.) and cools you down with refreshing water. (but not enough to keep you drenched the rest of the day, which is nice.) If you are a daredevil; stand on the bridge OUTSIDE of the queue line. When a boat comes out, you will get entirely soaked. (Should you not run back behind the glass walls.) Very refreshing on a hot summer day.

A fun river ride that takes you though the destruction of Pompeii and then drops you back to safety with a splash. Not the wettest I have ever been on, but I am not complaining since the temperature was only around 50degrees when we rode it, it certainly is the warmest ride of this type I have ever been on. The special fire effects in Pompeii tend to make things a bit hot.

This was a different ride, to say the least. At the top, the fire and the place a wreck is neat looking, however before you know it down you go and the ride is over. also, when i was there the doors werent working right so it was opened the whole time, and i saw when we were about to drop. not as fun. overall, not a bad river ride, but come on, do something to it so it can actually be a "ride", thus the name ride.

Even though the theming really makes this ride exciting and fun, it was over way to fast to enjoy it. Good flume but it still was over very fast. The flume does cool you off a lot though. Try Snake River Falls at Cedar Point. No theming but pretty lengthy ride and a good flume at the end!

A good water ride if you dont like to be soggy, soaked the rest of the day like me. Gets you wet enough to cool down, and the themeing is great. You can really feel the heat from the fire inside, and then it cools you off at the end. If you want to be soaked by the ride however, stand by the glass in the viewing area; youll get it top to bottom.

A bit of an overrated ride IMO. Very short time between the lift and the drop. The effects are good, but way too short. The drop is not THAT fun and you dont get THAT wet. Rideable if you finished your coasters.

An ok ride, with very good theming, and good efects, but the drop isnt that great and i didnt get that wet. although i would recomend going on it to most people.
