This ride is great for one main reason: The theme song. Throughout your ho-hum tour, this music plays over and over again. The lyrics go something like this: "Hersheys choc-o-late...Hersheys choc-o-late...Hersheys choc-o-late..." (repeat ad nauseum). By the time you get off the ride, youre ready to forsake things like air, water, shelter and clothing, so long as you can indulge in the only thing that matters in this world -- HERSHEYS CHOCOLATE! Even worse, they drop you off at the gift shop, of which 99% of the items are -- you guessed it -- chocolate! So, after my thorough brainwashing, I walked up to the register in my zombie-like state and maxed out my credit card on enough chocolate to last me a millenium (or two). Personally, I wish the tour consisted of smaller groups, led by an eccentric curly-haired guy dressed in pink who takes you for evil rides on his boat and has a crew of white-faced midgets, but hey, thats just me. Highly recommended.
Its interesting for what it is and what its supposed to be, and the free chocolates a plus. Good for just one ofthose one-time things.
Hersheys Chocolate world is AWSOME! Theres lots of free attractions and a huge food court/gift shop with items only found at Choco World. I got this cool change bank thats a huge, hollow choco syrup bottle and a large pillow in the shape of a package of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups! Everybody going to Hershypark should go to Choco World as well.
I enjoyed the ride itself, the timeline leading to the ride (my grandmothers mother actually worked for Milton, so that was cool to see what it was like back then) and the free sample at the end. Though it didnt have the best effects, I think the tantalizing smell of the chocolate throughout the ride, accompanied with the history, makes it a pretty good dark ride.
Hmm...this was fairly entertaining, tells you how Hersheys chocolate is made. The ride has a good audio/video presentation. Definately check it out if you have free time. Free chocolate at the end!
Ok, Im sorry to say this, but when you have grown up riding the WDW dark rides, this just fails to impress. It was pretty interesting and they did give you chocolate at the ende so thats a big plus. Also, its free, which earns it a point. However, I just came off of this ride thinking that it could have been better.
I love this ride it is very interesting on how they make chocolate yum!!
I recomend the 3-d movie. It was very well done and worth the 5 bucks.
Just all right. Not great, not terrible. It seemed very old and outdated but parts of it were interesting. Good for some free chocolate at the end
This was a fantastic tour through the process of the creation of Hesheys chocolate. You enter a que line (that sometimes can be very, very long) that is decently themed and instructs you on how the cocoa bean is harvested, where it comes from, how it gets to Hershey, and such. Then you get to the loading staion, which is quite like the Tommorowland Transit Authority. The cars, though quite comfortable, are not themed to Hershey. Theyre just red cars! What they should do is theme them like Hershey Kisses, thatd raise the grade! Back to the tour. You enter very detailed rooms that show how they make chocolate, and it even smells like chocolate! After the ride, you can buy a picture of you on the ride (dont buy, not worth the money) and you also bet a sample of Hershey chocolate! Cmon, how many people dont cherish free chocolate (except people that are allergic to Dairy)? But then it drops its grade even lower because of the huge and very boring shops. But if you love chcolate or are interested on how its made, definately hit this next trip to Hershey!(just dont make a trip for it!)
