Complete downright greatness. Everything about it is great. It makes you hungry for chocolate for months. A must do in Hershey.
Id say that this is a pretty average ride. The educational part is good. I liked the digital displays about how much of each chocolate bar have been made. A free sample of chocolate finishes things off.
omg the smell gets a 10 by itself. the smell is sooooo delicous!!! this is a great informing ride. i hate education rides but this is really fun
I dont really classify Hersheys Chocolate World to be part of Hersheypark...it is a separate entity unto itself. Its still a cool experience though, and although the only activity that we did when we visited was the factory simulator, it was a neat and nicely enlightening experience. The gift shop was also quite comprehensive, including some great assortments of Hersheys chocolates.
Definitely worth a stop when visiting Hersheypark. Admission is also free, and you can park in the Chocolate World lot all day and just walk to the park, thereby eliminating any driving between the two.
If I wrote this review before they remodeled it, it would be higher. But the new version-blah. Maybe its because I grew up with the old version or something. But the singing cows are majorly annoying... The line is never really long so you should give it a try, but this ride is NOT in the park!!! The cars are awesome, I dont know why, but I love them. But the new ride isnt my thing, but I go on it after the doctors office. (My doctors office is in Hershey.) The part with the chart of how many of each product was made today is cool, but not enough to support the ride.
First off this is not part of the park so I cant declare it a ride. It is open when the park is not. But I do love the tour. Ive been on so many times I know it by heart. It is amazing how Chocolate is made! Free sample (that is what I ride for nowdays.) I think they they should change the 3-D show to a new one. All the candy Hershey makes is here. One more thing, Try the milkshakes! They are the best! The stand is right behind the candy shop as you exit the 3-D show (in the food court)
Pretty good dark ride and best of all, FREE chocolate at the end!!!
It is relaxing and air-conditioned. Great ride because you see all the chocolate, and they make it look so good
This is a cool little ride just to see how chocolate is made and to get the free samples afterwards. The theme song they play over and over gets annoying after a while. Looking in the HUGE chocolate store afterwards is a lot of fun too.
Hersheys Chocolate World at Hersheypark is a nice building with a free chocolate tour ride, 3-D show, interactive child activities, food court, and gift shop. Since I havent seen Hersheys Really Big 3-D Show or done any of the interactive activities, I cant comment on them. By far the highlight of the massive building is the Great American Chocolate Tour dark ride. This free dark ride has a long queue line with videos and theming along the walls. Because of its huge capacity, the Chocolate Tour is a walk-on even when it seems crowded. Boarding the 2 car vehicles, they are constantly moving because of a revolving loading platform. Remodeled for 2006, now there are 3 cows during the ride that talk in high pitched voices. They are kid-friendly. During your long ride you go through many scenes to see how Hersheys chocolate is made. All of the scenes have moving parts and there are some smells of chocolate during the ride. At the end of the ride you have your picture taken by one of the cows as she speaks. Overall, an educational and entertaining dark ride. You get free piece of candy at the end. Also, there is a massive gift shop selling Hershey items from food, to clothing, to toys. Anyone visiting Hersheypark shouldnt miss Hersheys Chocolate World.
