These rides are one of my favorite. They have some nice music played with them.
I am a fan of these rides in general, but this version was a little lacking in terms of the length of the ride cycle. It has decent force during the swing and rotations, but it would be nice if the ride cycle was longer.
Screamn Eagle is a pendulum ride that was probably the newest, most celebrated ride at Oaks Park. (Actually, they just opened a brand new dark ride based on the Lewis and Clark expedition to replace their haunted mine attraction, but this had to be one of the stupidest things Ive ever ridden. Anyway, I digress.) Screamn Eagle was fun and exciting the way these pendulums always are. The problem was the ride duration was just way too short. As soon as we reached the maximum arc angle, the ride began to come to an end. No spinning and swooping at max height for longer than a few seconds. It was still fun, its just that the ride time left me longing for more.
This ride came one year with the Rose Festival rides, and the next year oaks park bought one of thier own.. .
be cuase of course its the best flat ride ever, except for maybe the old tumbler rides that are disapearing. Oaks park ride cycle time is actuslly shorter then it was at the fair for some reason, which is sad, but maybe theyve imporved that since I was there.
As a ride operator at Oaks Park who started in the 2003 season, and as an avid rider(free rides might as well) in the summerwhen the park is open, whenever I have any spare time, I can usually be found there enjoying myself. The Scream N Eagle has got to be among my favorites. Not as hairy as it looks it is still not for the faint at heart. It is a GREAT ride, and this one usually has some great music, with a very nice sound system. Mostly rock is played with some pop and a few country songs thrown in. The updated music started in the 2003 season, before that it was oldies, but that music didnt fit the ride too well so updated music was soon added. I must rate this ride a perfect 10.
