I rode this coaster in 91-92 when it was based in Pwllheli, North Wales as part of a now defunct Butlins Holiday Camp. Back then, as part of booking a holiday at the camp you got free entry to the very British cabaret shows, indoor swim centre, cinema and fairground. "The Boomerang", as this coaster was then known, was pretty advanced for the type of holiday park it lived in and was situated right on the boundary of the park. I must have rode it about 20 times and loved the angle of the vertical drop. The loop from memory seemed a little too close to the boomerang and could strain your neck, it was otherwise an awesome ride and a much loved memory. My next coaster was the Pepsi Max Big One in Blackpool a few months later... I was 9. The Boomerang was sold in around '97 and shipped to the U.S. shortly afterward. Glad to see it's still around!
Above average boomerang coaster, but still its a clone. The drops on this one were fast as always and pretty thrilling and the vertical loop on this one gave some pretty strong Gs. Also, the cobra roll on this one didnt have as much headbanging as on other versions Ive been on, but there still was a little while going backwards.
I agree with you woodieman. Dixie Landin is an okay park but it could be better. The only other coaster that they have is the Galaxi, and once youve ridden one of those youve ridden them all.
A good all-around coaster
Being The Only Roller Coaster In This Park, You Have to Give It A 10. its a Basic Boomerang Coaster,This Park Could Use a Good Wooden Coaster, That would bring more people To This Park
