Good fun. The effect is well-done and the cycle is pretty well-done. Children may be a bit frightened by the dim lights and the illusion of going upside down, but adults will find this an entertaining little diversion.

Very nice haunted swing. The storyline and theming were excellent, as the room had many small details. The effect of going upside down was pretty good on this one and it had a long cycle too.

I actually found this ride to be very disappointing. They hyped it up quite a lot about being a wild ride that takes you to some special place. They must have given 5 warnings about motion sickness and being afraid of the dark giving people a chance to back out each time. In reality the ride was quite mild. The lights dim and the whole room starts to spin. Being seated down the middle it gives the illusion that you are spinning, or hanging up side down. I was actually quite impressed that my 4 year old figured it out. Once we left that room I thought we were heading into another room where the story would continue (the destination), but alas that was all there was to it. The story was ok, although entirely fictional (from what I could tell). I sometimes don’t like when a story is told about a real person in history that is entirely made up. This feeds misinformation to my kids, which only causes confusion. Ranking of 5 is all I can give and I think I am being generous.

Overall a great ride. The ride ops were very nice, but there was a young employee dressed as a wolf boy randomly placed in the ride booth next to Merlin. Also, before the ride started, I noticed Merlins belt was attached to the wall, and that he secured himself in, making me believ he was turning with the ride.

an excellent haunted swing with a very good story line. The seating area is small which makes for a great effect. It really felt like you were making a complete revolution, but not at a dizzying speed. To me it felt like the room was moving slower than others Ive been on, but its all perception I guess.
I didnt even realize the ride op in the room was actually supposed to be Merlin.

Merlins Mystical Mansion is a well-themed haunted swing type ride. Located in the back of the park, Merlins Mystical Mansion generally is a walk-on. This ride has good capacity for the park. The white mansion looks very good and the story line is top notch. All the rides employees were well dressed and helped to improve the ride experience. Seated in a long row, you notice all the wonderful theming like carpeting, fireplace, bookshelf, and much more. However, I dislike this kind of ride. You stay in the same place while the room around you rotates. All the scenery looks nice and it does seem like your going fast, but these haunted swing rides just arent as fun as other rides. If the seats rocked a bit Id enjoy this ride more. Overall, a fun ride for anyone who enjoys Haunted Swing rides like this. I recommend this ride to anyone who doesnt get motion sickness and is afraid of the dark.

This is okay, but any real effect of the Merlin storyline is ruined when there is a different Merlin every time. And the lines are not short. Similar to some Six Flags lines.

This ride is like Hundinis Great Escape at the Six Flags Park. This ride is worse themed but works better. The funny thing on this ride is how they play a cover of the Chuck Berry song "Roll Over Beethoven". The version played on this song is fairly weak in comparision to the original or the Beatles cover with George Harrison providing lead vocals.

Although the effect works a little better than the Houdini ride at the Six Flags parks (perhaps because the room is smaller), I think it suffers slightly from not having the staging area (movie room)that they have at Six Flags.
