This is another one of Hersheys rides that is good, but Im not sure what to make of it! I really wish I was able to ride it before this year, to compare it to SFAs Roar (which I dont like), but I am glad that they put Flyers on Wildcat. Now, for the weird part: The Flyers just dont seem to fit the ride! The restraints on both my rides were comfortable when it started, but about halfway through were further down my pants than Hypersonic XlCs restraints get! This must be because the ride was made for another train. It didnt happen on Lightening Racer, and I know a few other people around the park were saying the same things about those darn restraints as well. Because of the groin strain of the second half of both of my rides, I was not really concentrating on how great the ride was, but on how my lower-body was suffering! Not to mention the fact that the airtime and freedom of the second half was diminished if not ruined. It was just a weird thing. Also, the trains seem to have smoothed-out much of the ride, but some parts are a bit bone-rattling! Its kind of a combination of Roars roughness and Lightening Racers mind-boggling smoothness. Again, evidence that the coaster was not really made for the train. But, in the end, I REALLY liked Wildcat! It will get an 8, like Lightening Racer will get, but will be ranked higher than LR. Wildcat was INTENSE; much more so than LR. LR definitely had its moments, the middle of the ride most definitely, but from start to finish, Wilcat was simply out-of-control. The airtime was there, but again, diminished in the second half due to the weird restraints. Laterals were all over the place, despite the banking of the turns. The first drop was one of my favorite wooden first drops. It was twisted, and felt super fast and intense. If Wildcats restraints somehow get fixed, it will most likely become my favorite of the Hersheypark woodens. For now, it is an awesome coaster that is definitely a mixed-bag of events and still leaves me smiling after every ride.

I honestly and truly love this coaster. It has a first drop that is very intense and took me by surprise. Great G forces all around, I have only ridden this with the original PTCs and I thought it produced a nice intense ride. I can only imagine what those awful M-Flyers did to it, they have the worst restraint system. Hopefully I will be able to get out there this summer to see how its running and update my review.

Ok, I am convinced tht most people are soft sissies. "Its so rough!" Wah, wah , wah. Is it a bit rough? Sure. Does that take away from the furious greatness that is this ride? Nope.

I absolutely love this thing. It is relntless, powerful, and demading. All the things I love in a woodie. You will never go on this thing and disrespect it with yawns and boredom no matter how many times you re-ride it.

The power of this coaster feels to great for the tracks. Litterally at one point around a couple ferocious bends I become convinced the fury is to great for the fragile man made wood bolstering it.

Stop complaining about Wildcat. Man up and enjoy it for the beast that it is.

I found this coaster too rough to enjoy, especially at the back. It is fairly long with a compact layout, which is decent. A bit above average.

The first part of the wild cat is fun and intense but the rest hurts. i always hti my heads with the person next to me. This is a reason why i dont like woodys so much. Besides the bumpiness it is a nice intense ride

Wild Cat is one of those coasters that suffers from simply not riding well. I attribute much of this to the PTC trains, and believe that this coaster would be significantly better with the GCI Flyer trains.

As it is currently, the Wild Cat is definitely wild. The drop, as others have said, is deceptively intense and fast for its size, and provides the ride with a great start. However, on that drop, and therefore right from the get-go, the coaster suffers from excessive amounts of roughness. Generally, I dont mind if a wooden coaster is rough so long as it is controlled, as is the case with the Cyclone, the American Eagle, and others. Here, however, the ride pays no heed to the fact that it is beating the hell out of you, and continues to push blindly along with no intent of letting up. Indeed, the coaster is actually really cool, as it increases in speed and intensity significantly as the ride goes on, so that by the end, you are really smokin. But theres that blasted roughness again, which predictably increases accordingly. I had to put my hands down before the end so as not to crush my sister sitting next to me and also limit the violent shaking that felt to be going on inside my body.

I truly believe this coaster would benefit from a train switch, and if that does indeed ever happen...watch out for this one. It could be as good or better than when it opened, which by all accounts would be an amazing experience.

This was a REALLY GOOD roller coaster, AND it was the first "real" roller coaster that I had ever ridden, excluding kiddie coasters, Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom coasters, and "wild mouse" coasters. Almost everything about it was perfect. The drops were of decent heights AND the speed was great! Now, notice that I said ALMOST everything about it was perfect... The one major negative thing about the Wild Cat is that it is WAAAAAAY too bumpy! I almost banged my head into my friend several times while riding this coaster! While the roughness does make the coaster a bit uncomfortable, I was still able to enjoy the ride the two times that I went on it. If you have ANY kind of neck or back problems, DO NOT RIDE THIS RIDE!!! I hope that Hershey Park replaces the cars on this coaster soon before it starts to severely injure people...

It needs to be a lighter on the head. At one time this would give you an instent headace and make you fear your neck would break. But with these new cars this has turned into a fairly good coaster. The one good thing about it is that the layout is hard to figure out so you can ride it again and again and still get caught off guard

Just like Roar at Six Flags America. Loud, Rough, Painful, And very brutal! Walked away in pain(no exageration)!
