I went on this thing when i was 8 and it was really smooth considering how old it is, and i think the lap restraints also helped. I gotta go on more Schwarzkopf rides.
I rode this coaster 21 times in one day when I was 13. Now, eleven years later, I still enjoy it every time I go to Hershey Park. Granted, its not the most exciting ride out there, it still holds a fair excitement level, especially for children.
first looping coaster... looks like it is. fun ride
This was the first looper on the East Coast. It has stayed rather smooth and has a tight, high-G loop. Those are its real strengths. However, I wish the drop was a little larger and the speed was greater. The real highlight of this ride is the loop. However, the speed definitely could be greater.
i loved it cause there was no line
A ok looping coaster. Was kinda slow but it was still a overall fun coaster.
Celebrating its 25th season (1977-2001), the sooperdooperlooper has redeemed itself to me. Last time I rode it, it was faster than it has been in the past few years. Could have been the rain, could have been off season maintenance, could have been anything, but after the loop and the turnaround that threads the track back through the loop I suddenly realized that the old looper was running fast! It roared through the mine tunnel and even the mid course trims only slowed it down momentairly only to speed through the final helix (that appears to have been blasted out of the rock). One of the very few coasters with an inversion not to use OTSRs, this was the first looping coaster on the east coast (a close cousin of Magic Mointains Revolution). Recomendation: Everyone... but some thrill seekers may find it too tame... excellent "first time" coaster for the young ones. Purpose: Fun.
An interesting, early looper that a least doesnt beat you up, though it lacks much other than the loop and its beautiful setting.
Its a little slow and not very intense, but it doesnt have those restricting OTSRs. Its nice to be able to put your hands in the air on a loop. Its a decent ride and a must if youve never had the experience of a loop with only lapbars.
this was my 1st looping coaster ever and the 2nd modern looper built. i ride it every time i go to hershey. its got sentimental value to me, and its one of the very few loopers with only lap bars
