I give this ride a high rating because it is so original in layout and design. To look at it from afar, you can’t see the entire ride and have to guess where it is coming from or going. It has a wonderful helix/faux drop of the lift hill before plummeting to the lake below. It’s interaction with the Sooperdooperlooper and water flume as well as its water’s edge scream back to the station (including reverse directional change) are just wonderful. It doesn’t do anything that hasn’t been done before; it just does what it does with originality and good effect.

This ride was very good, the first drop was very good and the inversions were great. But it was too short, and it needed more inversions.

This invert is truely one of a kind- you will not ever see anything else like it any where. It has the best beginning of any coaster Ive ridden with a pretty forceful helix right off the lift and a great dive into three fast inversions. My only complaint with this ride is the ending. After such a strong start, the train just kind of meanders back to the station hitting a corkscrew on the way. One of the more interesting aspects of the ride is it supports- they all look so strange

Great Bear has a really sweet beginning but after the part over lake it fizzles out. Its like a bottle rocket that shoots off real high...but doesnt explode. The helix at the top of the hill is something you NEVER see so that gives it points. The 3 inversions are great, but after that it just winds around the hills until you get to a zero-g roll and then its basicly done. I give it points for terrain, its one of the few inverts that winds its way around instead of keeping to one spot (like Talon, but Talon is 10 times more intense then the bear)

This is the smoothest coaster I have ever been on. It just glides over the track. I like the fact that it intertwines with the sooperdooperLooper and Coal Cracker rides. It had some pretty neat elements. The heartline spiral is my personal favorite. Its a really great ride. Make it a must see.

In general I like the B&M Interts, and Great Bear is no exception. It is rather short, but has some nice elements in that short distant, and manages to wind over two other rides in the park (SooperDooperLooper and Coal Cracker). I particularly liked the last inversion, it actually swings one way, then swings the oppesite way into a corkscrew, pretty neat element.

I love this ride, it could be longer but its not jerky or to intense like some of the other coasters. This ride is one of the best at Hershey, and I strongly recomment riding it if you havnt already
