Intamin proves their superiority yet again with another amazing creation. Wonderful first drop, tons of airtime, intensity galore - its the full package.

B&Ms for the most part are overrated. Intamin is the company of the future...get over it!
sfnesros on 1/14/2002 2:23:58 PM said:
IMO, they are both great companies. B&M have mastered the steel looper while intamin has perfected the hyper/giga.

What about the Flying coasters??
B&M Rider on 4/2/2002 8:19:59 PM said:
B&M i guess, Vekomas suck and theyre the only other company that has made a couple
B&M Rider on 4/2/2002 8:23:40 PM said:
B&M also mastered standups and inverts. vekoma mastered the mine train rides and the kiddie rides. its a toss up between who has mastered the launch coasters though. its between intamin, S&S, and premier
Sephiroth7 on 4/2/2002 8:49:47 PM said:
Well the best launch coaster is the Hulk...but BM didnt even design the launch and they havent made another launch coaster besides Hulk...so they cant be counted I guess...I feel Intamin has made the best launch rides...premiers suck and S&S are too short. No one has mastered the launch yet...
B&M Rider on 4/2/2002 10:21:30 PM said:
i wouldnt even qualify the hulk as a launch coaster, its too long and its a full circuit coaster, it even has a lift hill. the launch it just added in there and after that its like any other roller coaster
Sephiroth7 on 4/3/2002 12:37:07 PM said:
Lol...that I totaly disagree with. The Hulk is definitily a launch coaster and that is a fact, not an opinion.
B&M Rider on 4/3/2002 2:54:13 PM said:
but it has more coaster than launch, when i think of launch coasters, i think of a couple of inversions or some new track element, and then u do it backwards. i dont think of a seven-inversion full-circuit coaster that even has mid course brakes. i know that the hulk is a launch coaster, but it really doesnt seem like it

I love B and Ms!
Sephiroth7 on 4/3/2002 6:52:19 PM said:
I know what ur sayin...but that is why the Hulk is the BEST launch coaster...cuz its not two seconds long. If only other launch coasters were as good as The Hulk and California Screamin, the world would be a better place. We would stop having to moan about dumb five second rides...but still, u cant say The Hulk isnt a launch coaster just because it has more stuff to it. I mean if it has a launch...its a launch coaster no matter what the ride is.
B&M Rider on 4/3/2002 10:49:50 PM said:
totally agree, i know it is a launch coaster, im only saying that the hulk is considered more by the general public as a normal coaster with a launch, but the general public wont call it a launch coaster. theyll just say "its a really good coaster, oh and by the way it has a launch", but they wont say "the hulk is a great launch coaster." they wont put 2 and 2 together
Sephiroth7 on 4/4/2002 4:40:06 PM said:
I dont think the general public would even say launch coasters are launch coaseters...theyll most likely say "O that "shoting coaster" rocks. Like, you accelerate really fast and it was really cool!" heh...
B&M Rider on 4/5/2002 11:11:38 AM said:
yea, and the general public thinks the net under the hulks zero-g roll is for catching ppl, not loose articles of clothing

Wouldnt be surprised hehe...

I have a question? Can a type of ride be "perfected". As with everything different advancements acan be made and rides that are thought of as perfect, will turn out to be flawed.
MagnumMan on 7/15/2002 2:40:28 PM said:
No, not exactly but companies can try to perfect and get much praise for it. For example, B&M perfecting the Stand-Up coaster, the Heartline Spin/Barrel Roll, and the Flying coaster. What a coincedence! This list is all B&M!...
DmctNY8 on 7/15/2002 5:21:32 PM said:
My point is though, who says B&M (or some other copany) wont invent a better stand up coaster or flying coaster or any other supposedly perfected ride/element?
MagnumMan on 7/16/2002 4:43:35 PM said:
No one. Companies are probably trying their best to get as close to perfecting designs as we speak though
