Review of Cyclone @ Six Flags New England

After you get of this ride you feel like youve gone 12 rounds in the ring. This is the roughest ride I have been on. Its nonstop speed but its not worth the beating you take for riding this coaster.

Common this is not that bad! The last half of it is rough and if you sit near the front its hardly anything, the coaster is pure genius Its definetly the wildest coaster in NE, IMO. Maybe when it is completey re tracked in 2002 you will change your mind. [yes its official] Until then IM still going to enjoy the beating.

Not all people like really rough rides and sometimes that can make or break you opinion of a ride...

I hear what you are saying.I have actually changed my 4 to a 6. I was not a fan of rough wooden coasters until last weekend I was at SFWOA. I rode The Villian and I loved it. It was a combonation of both speed, twists and it had a rough ride also(not as rough as cyclone though). This made me appreiciate the cyclone just a little more. I didnt know they retracking it for next season thats going to make it a great ride.

Its only the best thing for a ride thats way too rough!!

I like it though, it gives you a timely reality slap. Ill be somewhat sad to see the roughness/intensity go.

Roughness and intensity is cool but when youre knees, back, arms and stomach are hurt after it it cease to be cool anymore. The layout of this ride is very good already so it will still be an intense ride just not as rough. They retracked the first two drops already and they are not any less intense its just not as rough.

Retracking the Cyclone, why thats STUPID. The Cyclone is my favorite coaster! What are they thinking!

I take back what I said about it being re tracked this year. It looks to be for 2003, but it IS being Retracked.

Are you kidding me. I was looking forward to riding a good wooden roller coaster at Six Flags New England in 2002. I guess I will have to wait 1 one more year.

I dont see why everyone thinks its so rough....I mean there ARE worse...just toughin up a bit people..and try not to break a nail...pfft...

I agree there are much wore coasters out their. But, on the other hand retracking could bring a new life to the coaster. maybe give it back some of its old glory.

Texas Giant, any Vekoma Hang and Bang.
daptwa on 3/4/2002 11:48:04 AM said:
Vekoma SLCs are NOT worse than the cyclone as far as how rough they are. Ive never ridden the Texas Giant so I cant spaeak for that.
