Review of Double Shot @ Playland Amusement Park

I agree with AWcool641 who happens to be one of my best freinds. Scream is much better, but it has a little bit of interesting air time. Its kind of fun and theres never any line!

This ride though at five tickets is WAY over prised, that is why there is no line.

I dont think its overpriced. Its one of the biggest attractions at Playland. Even though it is short it, all those types of rides are short. You know what to expect. The rides does have a tremendous amount of airtime. You just dont want the ride to overshoot, cuz that isnt very fun!

Not overpriced?!?!?!?

Even the dragon coaster is cheaper, (i think) and that is the main attraction.

Both are 5 tickets. I personally think that the rides are all overpriced, but I dont think in commparison to other rides that DS is unfair...

In terms of MPS (M.oney P.er S.econd). Double Shot is a lot more. I found it interesting that the park had to lease Chaos (they are probably glad they did) because they could not afford to buy it.

DS is leased too and all shot rides are short. DS is a good shot ride and isnt even the most expensive ride in the park. Most of their rides are leased or owned by private companies. They rarel buy rides themselves. One of the reasons they got rid of Chaos, is Powersurge. Even though Powersurge is privatly owned, it would be stupid to have two similar rides.

Also the Choas is a libility risk.

Why???? What is wrong with the Chaos????

That ride in Michagan that fell of the wheel or whatever.
Sephiroth7 on 10/24/2001 3:30:37 PM said:
Are you sure that was Chaos??? And even if that was that has nothing to do with Playlands Chaos. Rides can fall apart because of the poor keeping of the ride. And Im not exactly sure what you were talking about in your last comment, word it differently...

There was a total structural failure of a Chaos at another park this summer. I never heard if the cause was diagnosed.

Even if Chaos had a structural failure at another park, it has nothing to do with other parks. How the ride is maintained is the main cause of these accidents. So in reality it is not a liability risk to have Chaos at a park.

How could you possible know that Sephioth7? Sometimes things happen because of design or manufacturing flaws.
Sephiroth7 on 10/26/2001 3:01:03 PM said:
If it happened on multiple occasions I would think there was a manufacturing flaw. When I worked at Playland I always talked to the maitainence crew, they said the reason for most problems like that are caused by poor keeping of the ride. It is very rare for there to be structural failure on two of the same rides.
