this ride isnt very exciting

It wasnt meant to be. It did what it was supposed to do.

I find this ride exciting...sit in the back seat if you dont believe me...

ive sat in the back seat... it doesnt help that much

I love Big Thunder. Best mine train themeing anywhere.

wait i just noticed this was the one at Magic Kingdom... ive only ridden the one at disneyland... that might be why...

but thats your opinion (notice your name, BIGTHUNDER!). give him some space! it isnt the most exciting ride, no, but i cannot agree with giving it a 3. if you cant look at the excitement factor (which i happen to be able to), look at one of the best (if not, the best) themed rides in the world!

I agree with this rating, the ride itself is terrible. Its not thrilling at all. The only reason why it seems good is because there isnt much else to ride at Magic Kingdom when it comes to roller coasters. I do give it a little credit for the theming though.

Honestly bigthunder Im not even gonna argue because you are just going to say gay crap like that again. The ride is a joke end of story.

This ride is great end of story.

IMO Big Thunder Mountain is the best mine train in existance, especially if you sit in the back. I think people should compare it to other mine trains, not Hulk and DD over at IOA.

Ive gotta back up M311ton, this ride stunk. It would be consider a kiddie ride at any other park, it is the only mine train i have been on but if this is the best, the others must be pathetic!

So bigthunder, your giving ur annoying comments on another ride. This ride is great compared to other mine train coasters, and it has great theming, but it isnt that good of a ride. IMO it was pretty boring, and not even close to the best ride at Magic Kingdom. It deserves better than a 3, but no higher than a 6. But if your favorite rides are still kiddie rides, then I guess thats OK with me. At least your favorite ride isnt some carnival dragon coaster ride...

this ride is a freaking joke. weeeee, im on a train thats going slower than my grandma, through a bunch of little hills and drops, all the while, coming precariously close to a rock wall, whoopde-freaking-do. It sucks. Why dont you go ride the kiddie train at the zoo, you may get a kick out of it. Hows about we gain a little courage, bigthunder, and ride a real coaster, like the Demon.

I thought this ride rocked!!! True its no speed demon, but the incredilbe themeing and tight turns make you feel as if youre moving faster than you really are.

any ride that has that much theming and that long of a track setup is exiting. the ride is great. you will never find a beter mine train.

I think to give this ride a 3 is ludicrus. Its not the most exciting coaster but it is the best themed coaster in the world. They spent over 100 million just theming this ride. It has changed over the years but its at least a 6.

The ride is great three lifts and lots of track. fast and slow parts. its compleatly out of controle.

i dont care if they spent 100 mil on theming, you still have to follow that up with a good ride, i think alot of you are like working for disney or something, trying to give a dying ride its last hurrah......face it, its old, outdated, and doesnt deserve the extreme praise you continually give to it

I dont think this coaster is all that great but you do have to admit that the theming is brilliant and that even if the coaster itself isnt great the theming makes it at least a 5.

Ill admit the theming is great, but where Im coming from, and probably where the reviewer is coming from, is that the ride itself sucked. Im guessing the average speed on the ride is around 2.5 mph. It was slow it was boring, and the wait can be horendous.

It all depends on which one. The FL version is better than the CA one. Taller and longer. But I have respect for this ride. Probably because it was my 2nd coaster after SM. Ive enjoyed it since I was little. Disney is a better place to go if you need a brake from hoodlum activities that are done at SF parks.

My point exactly. Or when the bear was holding the foxes tail. The fox was trying to run but bear wouldnt let him.

Ok, I just rerode this ride last weekend and I was so dissapointed with the ride that I dropped my rating for it. This used to be one of my favorites until they changed it in 2000. The ride is so extremely boring that I could seriously fall asleep on this ride. No intensity at all. Its so smooth its disgusting. Disney reall needs to think about whats better, not whats cheaper or what they think is better.

For starters saying that Disney holds a gey day is like saying that SF dose as well. also wow can you think this "Im guessing the average speed on the ride is around 2.5 mph." how stupid can you be. the lift is 5mph. it would have to be stoped for half the ride in order for you to be correct. the average is 20mph.

When I went there that day the park was way evercrowded. I think I waited almost 2 hours to go on splash mountain.

This = rollercoaster site.. if you wish to debate other moral issues you know where R&R is..
