Review of Great Bear @ Hersheypark

I dont know how B&M did it. There is no room what so ever for an inverted coaster where the Great Bear is located, but yet somehow they managed to fit it in. They actually created an &quot.out and back&quot. invert that twists and turns and entwines itself through other rides. For sheer &quot. It cant be done, but we will do it for you&quot. fact, this ride should get high marks. For an invert, it only has 4 inversions, but they work so well and are paced so great, that you do not miss that there are not more (Quality over Qunatity). The pacing of this ride is very good, and the unusual helix right off the lift hill (and at 125 or so feet in the air) is a great element. The lift hill looks deceptively small from the station, but when you see the lift hill rise as the hillside drops away below, you realize that this coaster is taller than it first appears. If you are on the right side of the train, watch for the part where the sooperdooperlooper tracks try to take your feet off.
