Review of Die Autobahn @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg

I just returned from Virginia. To start, a few words on Busch Gardens: It is indeed a really pretty park, and many of the rides make good use of the terrain. But really, shouldn&#39.t the beer here be cheaper?

Anyhow, as for Die Autobahn... bumper cars are always fun, but there&#39.s next to nothing that can be done to distinguish one from the next. This ride comes as close as any I&#39.ve seen to some originality. First, there&#39.s a kiddie version right next to the main ride. Secondly, it lacks the internal median island that normally directs riders around in an oval. Instead, this is one big free for all. There are signs pointing the direction you&#39.re supposed to go, but they are ignored, so the possibility of the marrow-jarring head-on bumping is high. And of course, many drivers&#39. skill is sadly low. c&#39.mon, folks, if you&#39.re stuck, just rotate the wheel. You know what bumper cars need? Horns.
