I was at Universal yesterday and got a chance to try this out. It was quite funny and entertaining and the simulator effects were good. The ride queue and pre-shows were entertaining as well.
My one quirk with the ride itself is that I think the Simpsons characters in the ride shouldve been animated traditionally instead of in CGI (ala the Nickelodeon ride). Sure, its more expensive but it wouldve worked better.
Our ride attendant was also very rude and extremely short with us. There is no reason to be that rude to us especially at a theme park. That kind of ruined the experience a bit.
Other then those two factors, the ride was fun and entertaining.
Is it worth waiting over an hour for? No. Its not. The ride is too short for that. Will the kids like it? If they are Simpsons fans then definitely. Even if they are not, its a fun ride for all ages.
