Sure, Woodstock Express is a family coaster, but you know what? Its a good one! Its silly to me to rate a coaster like this on the same plane as the adult coasters, because they werent designed for huge thrills in the first place. This coaster is the anchoring ride in the parks Camp Snoopy kids area, and it provides a very fun ride that adults can certainly enjoy while younger kids will be thrilled at "conquering" a coaster that, from their perspective, is rather formidable. Woodstock Express is a Roller Skater model from Vekoma, and it boasts a rather impressive 40-foot height (in terms of kid coasters anyway) along with a top speed of 25 mph. If Jr. Gemini is the "first step" for budding coaster enthusiasts, then Woodstock Express is a nicely placed step-up to a level just below the likes of some of the parks smaller adult coasters. The train looks nice, and the ride has a good opening little drop followed by some quick turns and a pretty good helix. The train moves at a decent clip while navigating the cool layout, which is massive by kiddie coaster standards, filled with another dip and some more twists and turns. Kids adore this coaster, and it is nice that the park put in a "bigger" kid coaster for them to enjoy, while also making it comfy and smooth for the adults to ride as well. Watching the kids laugh and throw their hands up on this is really what its all about, and it never fails to make me smile. So, for me, with his good little coaster thats rather fun, Woodstock flies to the upper levels of the junior/kiddie/family coaster genre.
