This ride is simply amazing. the twister layout is great and the drops are awesome too. i do not know what everyone is complaining about. Sure its rough but most old woodies are. This ride would get a perfect score if six flags had not reprofiled it and the brakes were not there along the course.

This shot shows the new drop. if you look below it you can see the original track. it looks to be turned almost 90 degrees.

This is from RCDB. you can clearly see the lower track below the reprofiled drop. It was the rides best element. As for the Excuse that old coaster are Rough this coaster has a whole 21 years of operation. Thats not all that old.

thanks for pointing that out Eagle.. i have seen that picture before but never realized what i was seeing due to the twisted track & my unfamiliar knowledge of this coasters layout.

Yes the very twisted track wasnt as noticeable especially after that section was painted. but as you can see its about 10 ft longer and when it comes back around it turn up along the side of the coaster. The maneuver was just unbelievable. this more traditional drop really isnt that great unless your in the back were you can get some air time.

Compare this to the shots mrceagle linked and witness how one of the most intesnse first drops was mangled. It is important to point out that the sharply-banked rise and dip after the first drop was removed also, which was integral to the intensity.

Not to mention the Uniqueness of the coaster. That High bank turn along the side of the coaster truly set the riverside cyclone apart from all the other cyclone wannabes and clones.
