Review of Yankee Cannonball, The @ Canobie Lake Park

This is an amazing classic wooden coaster. From the parking lot you can see the Yankee Cannonballs dog-leg shaped layout. The station looks cool with the water fountain and all. I have been on the Yankee Cannonball multiple times and can say that it usually has a fairly long wait. Ive waited around 50 minutes for all of my rides. Thats because theres only one darn train. If it seated 24 that would be fine, but it only seats 18 and really hurts the capacity. Well, at least the operators load quickly. My favorite seat is by far the front (Im a front seat person). The Yankee Cannonball is just pure fun and still provides a great ride. This was a perfect sized coaster for me and the hills were fun. There was some decent air-time on each of the hills. Most importantly for me, the Yankee Cannonball was very smooth, especially considering its age. I do have to subtract a point from the rating due to the line and capacity.

Welcome to the site. I know that the one train operation can be very annoying. The addition of Extreme Frisbee has help a little with cannonballs line. but this isnt completely the parks fault. The state will not certify the Coaster to operate with 2 trains with skid Brakes. The park woudl need to Upgrade to Fin or mag brakes and reprogram the computer. at a half million for mags and slightly less for fins its been lower on the priority list at the park. The new Entrances and internal park upgrades needed to come first.

I too welcome you to the site. Canobie cant run two trains on the Yankee Cannonball because of the accident that happened a few years ago.

Thanks for welcoming me and I hope to contribute to the site. That stinks Canobie cant use two trains on the Cannonball, but I at least can see why now.

In all hopes now that nearly every bathroom has been redone of rebuilt, new outer gate, new main gate, among many smaller additions we will see the park work on cannonball.

Yeah, that main gate looked very nice when I went this year. Also the new gift shop was quite good too. Canobie finally has a true gift shop.

I thought that the only gift shop that they had before their new one this year was the one in the Western area.
